How can I say this so that it doesn't sound the way it's going to sound? Most are familiar with a similar line of thinking as youve laid it out. Perhaps not exactly the same but in the vain, what I think I'm looking to find is what doesn't seem to be the obvious or familiar.
I do believe that if we are present to see an individual be that person (assuming it is an individual) we all say "oooooohhhhhhh now it makes sense"
This is exactly what I’m thinking as well. Depending on what the “Day of the Lord” means, it sounds to me like 2 Thessalonians is saying the antichrist may be revealed before the day of our being gathered together with Him:
1 Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers,
2 not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.
3 Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,
4 who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. - 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4
I feel like this would be a warning to those watching that the rapture will be soon and also allow dispensationaliats and covenant guys to come together since it would be different than either of us expect and we would be forced to reconcile. If all watchmen are supposed to see eye to eye, I feel like something major will have to happen for that to be the case. I can’t see eye to eye with some charts of day counts, even as cool as they might be. But if something happens where we all say, “Oooooh. I get it now...” then that would be awesome.
