I'm talking about specific rather than general prophecy. General prophecy relates to things like those who curse Israel being cursed or false people being within the church while specific prophecy says "Event X will happen sometime in the future." It definitely appears to me that the answer to the question is no, can't think of anything. That makes sense in an end time view, the Jews rejected their messiah, God allowed them to be overthrown and they returned to their land in 1948 after close to 2000 years from which we officially entered into end times and speculation about the rapture and the second coming became relevant. Of course there had always been people who pointed to events and talked of the end of the world (whether they were years such as 1000 or tragedies such as World War 2. But with so many end time events requiring a literal Israel such talk was Biblically misinformed. I think we can divide history into 5 periods 1. Biblical Times (Creation to John's Revelation 2. What I'll call "mid times" where there was a prophetic gap 3. End times (1948 to rapture) 4. Tribulation/Day of the Lord 5. Millenium. I suspect God's "silence" in the mid times may have led to the rise of humanism in the end of the period. "Look at all this unfulfilled prophecy. So what if some of it happened in the past? It must have been written after the fact." (The last point is definitely how they interpret Daniel which reports undeniable historical events so that makes it "evidence" that it was written later. I find God's long "silent" period fascinating. And it's interesting that despite fulfillment of prophecy after a long fact so many in the church think God is done with Israel.

Dont worry about me, I have to return to the mission field within a week, and probably wont be posting any more of my opposing comments for consideration. So no reason to ban me, just finnishing off what I started... in case someone is searching for more.

well, mr dj jordan had some real stretches to his interpretations, and he brought a combative tone so he was not allowed to participate anymore. What always helps, to those who like sharing and showing the forum members what he or she is gleaning from scripture, it helps to build a case and bring lots of scripture verses in for support. Also, to be humble and patient with the counter questions/comments etc. because sometimes typed wording can be taken the wrong way. And, as always, adhere to the forum rules.. then we can all have fun discerning together!
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Thes 5:9 KJV
visit-r: You have to wonder about Purim. It is an "appointed time" according to Esther 9:27, but it is not a "moedim" appointed feast day. As such, it is usually ignored in end times. Maybe it has some kind of "hidden" significance? Curious, that is the theme.

visit-r: Interesting too EnochWalked. Maybe what the "tomb" represents makes them feel nervous and uneasy?

bernie: Gary, I agree with EW, an update would be awesome. I had a question as well from the same article. You mentioned the 2018-2028 time frame as an interesting possible window for all of it, and I was wondering if that date range has changed for you? Thanks!

Servant: FYI, the article said April - May 2019 is the time frame to watch out for.

Servant: The revealing of 'messiah' in Israel. I cant imagine the reaction.

EnochWalked: Servant: Wow. I don't know if these rabbis have made such claims bold predictions before. I look forward to seeing what happens with the election next month, and Netanyahu's trial. Also "There is a Messiah in potential in every generation" sounds familiar.
Feb 18, 2020 16:49:22 GMT -6
Servant: I suggest to take it with a grain of salt. After all, there are many potential candidates for 'messiah'. Still, it's making me . . . uneasy.
Feb 18, 2020 18:06:36 GMT -6
Servant: Reminds me of the warning. "If anyone says to you then, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it." And "So if they say to you, ‘He is in the desert,’ do not go out there; if they say, ‘He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it"
Feb 18, 2020 18:12:13 GMT -6
Servant: I am guessing that they will anoint him or ceremony to establish that he is 'messiah' . Anyway, happening so soon to Peace Deal makes one wonder. . .
Feb 18, 2020 18:15:06 GMT -6
Natalie: I so look forward to when Israel accepts the true Messiah.

EnochWalked: Thank you for your words of wisdom, Servant and Natalie.
