Genesis 6:3 says: And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
I never felt that 120 years fit my ideas of what was being said, so I wondered if we might substitute Jubilees for years and get 120 Jubilees, or 6000 years. Because of the mention of striving, I would think this count would start with the fall.
The context of the verse is uncertain; "God said," but to whom and when was he speaking? I gather this information was given to Moses through inspiration.

Thank you David. I wondered how the 120 years would fit into the calculations and it appears that after the flood the limit of mankind went from a possible life of 1,000 years to a possible life of 120 years. We can see this life limit today that no one lives past 120 years. If we consider the 120 years and that Israel became a nation state in 1948. Then we are currently at 70 of those 120 years and we have 50 years left in this generation. Thus, 1948 plus 120 years is 2068 AD. According to the time schedule that I made, that the end of the sixth day is 2055 AD, then 2068 extends into the next 1,000 year day by 13 years. Another consideration that I had is the amount of time following the tribulation but before the 1,000 year Sabbath day. Since according to the the schedule the day begins in 2055 then it appears that all events of the tribulation take place prior to that time, in the sixth 1,000 year day (1026 AD to 2055 AD). Thus, after the burning, how much time is required for the earth to settle down for the life of man to begin again. That is, the life of man begins upon the earth again prior to the Sabbath day (2055 AD -3084 AD). It should follow the type of Adam or Noah.
