Isaiah 18:6
According to the chiasmus, this verse is the counterpart to Verse 18:2.
"They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them."
The key to understanding this is the previous verse 18:5 in that "he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches." That is, "both" the sprigs and the branches were cut off/down and as I said in the analysis of that verse, these are the works of the missionaries that went to Russia in Verse 18:2. Thus, when the war starts (v. 18:3, B) then the missionary effort in Russia is over (18:5, B). Now, in Verse 18:6 we are told that they, the works of the missionaries, "shall be left together" unto the fowls of the mountains and to the beasts of the earth. That is, the new converts have no support and they are left to survive on their own being subject to the fowls and beasts.
But wait, who are the fouls, and who are the beasts? The fouls are the army of God as explained in Verse 18:1 that sent the missionaries in Verse 18:2, and the beasts are those who pealed Russia from their earliest days. Thus, the fouls are the good guys who feed on the new converts and the beasts are the bad guys who feed on the new converts. That is, the fouls come again not as missionaries but as the army of God, and this is the counterpart to missionary work, to take those that are converted; the rapture.
Perhaps the easiest way to see this is the link to Rev. 19:17 where the fouls that are the army of God are called to serve. They put down the beast and his army that are the beasts of the earth (Rev. 18:20-21). Thus, the converts in Russia are fed upon by the beasts of winter; however, the converts in Russia are also fed upon by the fouls of summer. That is, winter war precedes summer rapture; although, Verse 18:6 has the order reversed.
An additional indicator to the analysis of Verse 18:6 is "mountains" that means nations as in the nations of Israel; the 12 tribes. Thus, the fouls of the nations of Israel is the army of God. That is, "fouls of the mountains" means fouls of the nations. Since the fouls are the army of God, then the fouls of the nations is the army of Israel. Thus, "fouls of the mountains" in Verse 18:6 is synonymous with "rivers of Ethiopia" in Verse 18:1.
Secondly, missionaries are sent two by two and this is the meaning of "together" in Verse 18:6. That they are together as in two missionaries; although, here in Verse 18:6 it is like I said a counterpart to the two missionaries "together."
