Hello...just giving a brief introduction to myself, and to express my thankfulness to this site.
I am married with 3 girls. My wife and I were raised with a very Christian background and we were taught how to research the bible at a young age. This foundation has resulted in a wonderful marriage going on 22 years. We had a very tough breakup from our biblical ministry back in 1999 that really soured and hurt our hearts towards any type of organized religion. Our love for God never wavered but our ability to fellowship with the Body of Christ has been at an absolute halt since. The devil is a real crafty SOB and a lot has been stolen from us. We now find ourselves raising 3 children outside of the fellowship of the Body of Christ and trying to teach them the same morals and principles that we were raised with. This has been real difficult to do. We've tried many churches but they are too milk-toast, uninspired and hard for us to trust in.
My bible got dusty for many years I'm ashamed to admit. It had always been the source for every answer we've ever needed. About 6 months ago my mom forwarded some teachings from Mark Biltz and Scottie Clark that turned our world upside down. I've been so excited to dive back into the Word of God and see new and amazing things again! My past research has always been focused on what pertains to the present time and beside having a basic understanding of future events I never concentrated on eschatology. I find it so interesting and that it drives my passion to understand God's plan for us.
My main reason for posting this is to share my thankfulness to all of you. You have been a beacon of light! I have been lurking and reading for many months. I feel like I know so many of you very well, yet you don't know me. I am praying with and for you guys from the back pew quietly. Although some of my core beliefs differ from those on this site the Fruit of the Spirit is obvious.
[Mat 7:20 KJV] Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Keep up the good work! Much love... -Slim
