Wow! But, how is Turkey at the woman's feet? Beloved beat me to it, but I was thinking Greece...one of the two feet. More like a chopped off leg?

Greetings to all my brothers and sisters in Christ! With all the references to Jupiter that keep coming up in the news related to world events as well as to the Revelation 12 sign, I am wondering if perhaps there is a 2-sided coin we're seeing here coming up. On one side of the coin we see the Revelation 12 sign with the planet Jupiter representing the Church being born and snatched up to God and His throne--the side of the coin we as believers in Jesus will be looking forward to. But on the other side of the coin is the Jupiter that the world will have to face during the Tribulation--the terrifying side of the coin. Our new member, firefrorefiddle, posted some very interesting information about Jupiter as the god of fortresses in the thread about Macron, and as I began to do a little digging into the mythology of Jupiter, I'm finding some fascinating ties to the antichrist/beast/tribulation period. For instance:

1. Tie-in with the one who "confirms a covenant with the many: As the sky-god, he was a divine witness to oaths, the sacred trust on which justice and good government depend.
In the Roman tradition, oaths were sworn upon Iuppiter Lapis or the Jupiter Stone located in the Temple of Jupiter, Capitoline Hill... the sacred stone (silex) which was preserved in the temple of Iuppiter on the Capitol, and was brought out to play a prominent part in the ceremony of treaty-making. (Source: "Jupiter Stone," Wikipedia, 16 June 2017, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jupiter_Stone
2. Connection with Roman Empire: Jupiter was the chief deity of Roman state religion throughout the Republican and Imperial eras, until Christianity became the dominant religion of the Empire.
3. Connection to the winepress of God's wrath: Festivals of viniculture and wine were devoted to Jupiter, since grapes were particularly susceptible to adverse weather.
4. Possible connection to the wings of a great eagle in Revelation 12: His primary sacred animal is the eagle, which held precedence over other birds in the taking of auspices and became one of the most common symbols of the Roman army (see Aquila). The two emblems were often combined to represent the god in the form of an eagle holding in its claws a thunderbolt, frequently seen on Greek and Roman coins.
Very interesting. As I was writing my article the other day about Macron, the thought crossed my mind to if there was any connection between Jupiter and the "god of forces" or the "god of fortresses", but I lost that train of thought and didn't dig any deeper. Any idea where that thread was that firefrorefiddle posted? There have been comments in other threads (including from yours truly) about how there are often multiple meanings/parallelism in biblical passages. Regarding #4: If you were Lucifer, and hated the Jews, wouldn't you want to get them all in one place so it would be easier to exterminate them later? If you couldn't get them all because they are all spread out, you might make a deal with them as a backup plan to facilitate their return to the Land (the wilderness)?
