I really hope that the Father will show us something like a "Documentary of Time" to explain it all. Not to hijack this thread, but this statement reached me and I wanted to say -- Yes, I too would REALLY like to SEE and Understand the "HISTORY" of the world .... not little snippets here and there .... but the whole lot of everything that went on. For example the Grand Canyon -- how was that created -- or the Pyramids found around the world -- made of multi-ton stones -- and placed together so precisely that not a slip of paper will fit between them and those are only some of the questions. Will it be some sort of documentary (as you lay out) -- or something else..... A strange thought came to me while typing ... we do NOT know what eternity is all about -- the "Place without time". I suppose it is possible -- once we step into eternity -- to then perceive everything that happen within the realm of TIME..... MEANING we will be able to see the world/universe HISTORY -- as it occurs -- since there is no time......... Not that there is not time, but time is linked to material creation. The way I understand it is that time and space make up the four dimensions we function in. God, being creator of these dimensions, exists outside of them. As such, he is not subject to their rules. He wrote them. One illustration Chuck Missler uses is to imagine time as a parade, with the Cross at the center. We are marching in the parade and see only what is near us, knowing only the steps we and those close to us have taken. The same is true for others at different points. God is above it. He sees the whole parade from start to finish, all at once. We have free will to act as we see fit. He sees our choice and its inevitable result simultaneously. Thus, he can predetermine who will be saved because he sees the end from the beginning. We are still perfectly free to accept or reject the offer of salvation. He wants those who love Him. Love cannot be forced, only requested. Not really where I meant to head with that, but my thoughts flowed in that direction. I too eagerly await a detailed explanation of what exactly has been happening here. I find the concept of eternal existence fascinating. We simply do not understand existence. To us, there was a time when we were nothing, then a time when we were. To God, existence is the natural state. It is normal. Nonexistence is not. The entire cosmology of science, falsely so called, is inherently flawed because it tries to start from a beginning. There wasn't one. God is IS.

MEANING we will be able to see the world/universe HISTORY -- as it occurs -- since there is no time......... I have also imagined the things I'd like to do in heaven. One of them has always been to find a quiet place with a huge IMAX screen and get to watch any point of history I ever wanted to know more about and understand everything about those moments—what were they thinking, what were they feeling, etc. Now though, as I've been pondering the true implications of being a part of the Body of Christ (WHO IS GOD, BY THE WAY!!)... I mean, we say that, we believe that, but do we REALLY know what that MEANS? It makes me wonder, like what you said, if we'll just KNOW because we'll be outside of time, but we're also PART of GOD! No eye has seen, no ear has heard... Obviously, can't comprehend it but it will be marvelous beyond description.

There wasn't one. God is IS. Read more: unsealed.boards.net/thread/835/feeling-9-23-17?page=2#ixzz4tJqkDRP0At one time in my path of Scriptural exploration, I spent not a small amount of time contemplating when Moses asked God, "Who are you?" and He answered, "I am Who AM". The answer, "I am Who AM" really stuck in my head for a while, especially the meaning of the word "am". There is not time involved there, God just 'is'. And, as they say, it blew my mind, but the Father brought it back together again!

I must be doing something wrong when I copy/paste someone's post's. They don't look they same as everyone else's. So you aren't quoting? I click quote on the post that I want to quote and then delete what I don't want to quote. And if I just want to tag, I like that we've figured that out by putting the @ sign in front of the username. Hope that helps. 👍

So getting back to the subject of the thread... anticipation jitters anyone? Can't seem to concentrate. Had a long talk with my wife just now. We both feel so isolated out here. I hope the Father will give us peaceful sleep tonight as, I'm sure, tomorrow will be tense.

More than anything I hope this is it but I've been praying that I would remember that ultimately the Lord is in control. Part of me is already struggling with the possibility of being disappointed.

If nothing happens, we have more time to reach out to unsaved loved ones. God is so merciful.

Stormyknight, I've been feeling all sorts of things, excitement, jitters, but also a little trepidation in the event that what we are hoping for does not come to pass. If we are still hanging around this place by Sunday, I'll be pretty bummed! But ultimately God is sovereign, and His ways are perfect, so I have to keep my faith there.

I just want to stay awake all night and into tomorrow to keep "watch." Probably won't be able to (though I'm off work tomorrow). Hard to believe we're so close to the 23rd. One of the reasons I've always enjoyed studying prophecy is to look for the fulfillment of prophecy going on even in current day. And the Revelation 12 sign being fulfilled is such a big deal. I'm mostly filled with excitement.
I also wonder if there will be bible studies hosted in the millennial kingdom to explain to those born then the ways prophecy in Revelation, along with OT prophecies, was fulfilled (it will be a history lesson for them).
