Of the several alphabet letters in the language of Latin (the language of the RC church) only six were assigned to calculate.
The "Roman" numerals ... I V X L C D ... which just "happens" to sum at ... 666 ... what a coincidence eh?

Hi Natalie ... D is 500 ... years later, to indicate 1000 they put two D's back to back ... later it became easier to write it as ... M
The "original" was only 6 letters ... which summed at 666.

Ok, thanks! I didn't know that. God is indeed the great mathematician ... especially to students of prophecy!
You will recall that "Peter" which was "added" to the name Simon ... represents the Church of Rome and it's papacy.

bradwatsonmiami , Maybe you could give us a clear definition of what reincarnation is (in the general sense)? As I understand it, it is 1 soul from a deceased person in the past, returning and being placed/found in/ inhabiting a different person later in time. This pattern repeats> Logically then, this would limit the total number of possible souls in existence. Is this correct? My memory is not what it once was, but I believe on another site ... Brad claimed to be the reincarnation of Einstein. mike , Natalie

What is the latest date of use of the 'double D' before M became a widespread replacement?

Since this thread had gotten off topic, I have transferred the off topic posts to combine them with the USA = 666 thread by the same OP. This post ends that insertion.

There are two choices for how the Christ returns and produces the "resurrection of the dead": (A) zombie apocalypse or (B) reincarnation. So, you're a 'zombie apocalypse guy'? or C) He literally resurrects the dead 1 Cor 15:42-44 "So it is with the resurrection of the dead... It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body." And vs 53 "For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality."
No zombies. No reincarnation. You live; you die; you get a spiritual, immortal body; you don't come back as someone else.
Reading Psalm 78 this morning and it reminded me of this topic of reincarnation 39 For he remembered that they were but flesh; a wind that passeth away, and cometh not again.
Also a great summary of the Exodus and the unbelief - I like to use summaries like this one (there are two/three others) to help explain the high level story of mans failure and Gods redemption!

Marrying Christianity with reincarnation nullifies Jesus. Why submit to Him when you can work it out yourself? This whole thread is bizarre and I hope Brad will question his sources and seek reputable teachers.
As I am the only reformed one in these parts, and my teachers aren't recommended, who would you suggest for Brad to learn from? Something comprehensive, not starting in the middle.

Jack Hibbs had a good series on what we believe. It's a series called "You Need to Know". At least the first 17 or 18 videos would be a good start.

Natalie, I have listened to Jack Hibbs for many years, but in this last year he has been powerful and "pulling no punches" in proclaiming the truth! I went to his opening service last Sunday. What a joy! What Holy Spirit teaching! And how amazing it felt to be with bros and sis in church singing our praises to Jesus!

inaweofhim , I haven't listened to him in awhile except his prophecy updates. Our church met this past Sunday, too. We have a small congregation, so easy to social distance. My daughter says, "It sounds like everyone is singing louder today." It was wonderful.

United(6 letters) States(6) Dollar(6) is the "666 mark of the Beast that everyone must have to buy or sell with". Ronald(6) Wilson(6) Reagan(6) the actor was the prophesied "666 1st Beast"/Antichrist and reincarnation of Kaisar Neron (Greek, Latin: Caesar Nero) = "six hundred sixty-six 666" (transliterated into Hebrew gematria). He hosted the G 7 heads-of-state, "he was the Great Deceiver, fought Michael (Mikhail Gorbachev), he was the 'Lawless One', ruler of the world, lied to all nations, and was wounded yet lived". Hello Brad, Welcome to the Forum, A few points to consider - Hebrew and Greek both have numerical values or equivalents that correspond to each letter, Gematria - but English does not have this. A person can't simply say A=1, B=2, C+3, D=4, E+5, F=6, G=7, etc, etc and z = 26. So this is one huge problem - and even if it did - a person can spend all day and come up with thousands of words or phrases that have six letters and it does not make those words the Mark of the beast. The other thing - a huge problem is in saying that the US Dollar is the Mark of the beast. There are billions of people who live outside the US and use the Euro, or the Yen, or the British Pound, or the Ruble, etc, and these countries will never use the dollar, because they don't like USA or American / Western Judeo-Christian value system that we hold. For example many muslim countries - they hate USA and our support for Israel, and the way we value women. The other thing is the the mark is something that must be taken or accepted in ones' hand or on the forehead, and for this reason, many Bible scholars believe it is an RFID implant or microchip, which has a person's name, SS #, medical information, blood type, passport, driver's lic, as well as banking/ financial account information so that they can buy and sell with this chip -- Think Bill Gate's "ID2020" plan. Also, my brother - just because he confronted Mikhail Gorbachov, - that's not the same as fighting with Michael the Archangel. - This is complete conjecture and there is no scriptural basis whatsoever to support the notion. There is a lot of room for Christians to disagree and hold very different views on end times, Brad, and how it all plays out - but we agree on the Bible being the inspired, infallible word of God, and for those that believe this - most people will be happy to engage with you and have a robust dialogue. But scripture nor Christ nor Paul taught reincarnation - and it's contrary to the clear teachings of scripture. Disciple4life
