Also, i don't remember if it was venge or stormyknight, but someone in this thread mentioned those who deceive as wolves.
Wow!. I've really had the thought so much recently of the line from a movie- i think it's "The Bridge to Terebithia" but the dad says to his son "There are sheep, and there are wolves and then there are Sheepdogs and we are sheepdogs".
The wolves don't like us, and sometimes the sheep don't like us, but that's part of our calling.
I think it's not just the ones who say they are God, but also those like Joel olsteen, and Benny Hin, and those who teach replacement theology, and prosperity gospel.
The church / Congregation is deceived, but i think that some of the pastors are so deluded, - so deceived that they themselves actually believe they are right.
In the last days many will depart from the faith and listen to false doctrines.
Who are the ones being deceived? It's the ones who are religious, go to church, do the motions, give to charity, sing in the choir, but inside are like dead mens' bones.
I was completely struck by the staggering number of pastors who don't say anything in this crisis about end-times.
How can any Christian, in any culture be so deluded- that they cannot/ will not see all the converging signs.? This has got the attention of the whole world.
