thanks for sharing Gary. I can relate to the 'feeling' of complacency lately. All things seemingly are business as usual here in my neck of the woods. I wonder if I lived in China where Christians are severely persecuted if I would be feeling the same.

Thanks for the pep talk, Gary. It's the same here, too. Eerily quiet.

Maybe, there is indeed a feeling of normalcy -- or the same-old same-old activities going on and on ....
But when one steps back and looks around -- one discovers it anything BUT the same old -- same old.
Take a look at the weird spring weather the USA is having this year ... Snow Blizzards -- in Spring, Major storms with hail, tornado, and major flooding -- all right in the middle of the Bread-Basket of the country. This weird weather is affecting farmers (and getting their crops in the ground), ranchers with loss of part of their herds -- and that is not even to mention the trade tariff wars going on (already affecting companies like WalMart).
The USA as a country is so divided that -- that areas that NEED serious attention such infrastructure (how many bridges, buckling highways, electrical grids...) have had it's cost Kicked down the road to the next generation. How many more deaths will be acceptable before the aging infrastructure will be corrected?
I could go on and on point out problems in society, or climate or any other things -- showing that NO Things are not just the same-old , same-old....
I believe Gary is right, Christians have become complacent....
We can see something BIG is coming down to pike... yet too many of us (and I definitely include myself in this group) -- we have experienced what we perceive have been delays ... that we think there will always be a delay.
At some point -- there will be no more delay...........

"I wonder if I lived in China where Christians are severely persecuted if I would be feeling the same."
Exactly! Or Nigeria, Congo, South Asia, Middle East, etc.
"But when one steps back and looks around -- one discovers it anything BUT the same old -- same old."
True that. It's the isolated normalcy that people become deceived by. For those familiar with Lord of the Rings, it's like the hobbits in The Shire, just one small corner of the world, who would rather not believe that the rest of the world was in chaos.

For those familiar with Lord of the Rings, it's like the hobbits in The Shire, just one small corner of the world, who would rather not believe that the rest of the world was in chaos.Exactly!! Here in western Kansas, folks are still pretty much conservative Christian, who, in general, will help each other in times of crisis. Churches, even in the small towns, are still relatively well populated. Meaning people here still remember God. He may not be on their minds 24/7, but He hasn't been removed from society, like what is happening elsewhere. One can still see church marquees calling for prayer for rain or to remember that God loves us or that "Jesus Lives". Other than the big blizzard of Dec. 29, '06 and the Greensburg tornado in May of '07 and a few other tornadoes and hail storms, Western Kansas has been passed over by all the major weather events of late. And like the Shire hobbits, western Kansans come to each others' side for support and aid when needed. Even after the tornado that hit Holly, CO in April of '07, the media crews that arrived were brushed aside because everyone was trying to help each other. A friend of mine witnessed a reporter getting asked to leave because it was discovered he was looking for someone to interview who had suffered and could give a dramatic story of loss and pain. I've wondered sometimes if the community spirit is why God has spared us for so long. Unfortunately, I think it's also that spirit that gives everyone that 'just keep your head down and keep working' frame of mind, and so they ignore what's going on in the world. They know things are happening but seem to maintain a 'that doesn't concern me' attitude.

LOTR is a favorite of mine Gary, stormyknight, great reference. They had no idea of the impending doom around them. They were 'saved' by the efforts of the Frodo and the others, however this reality is much different than that fantasy

I can definitely relate to the feeling of life being the same ol'-same ol'. Gary, The past two weeks have been so hectic for me travel and work-wise. I've rarely had time or opportunity to simply relax and go online to ponder prophetic development. This was an interesting epiphany for me. For several decades I've considered the return of our Savior to be imminent, even more so lately. But life can become so busy. We are literally surrounded by a world that has no idea of what's about to occur.

Ditto here for me as well, fellow brethren. Where I live (southern CA - Orange County) we have been blessed with great weather, rain that we have needed, no earthquakes (yet!) or storms or fires near us. And we go to work, spend time with family, and live day to day as if it will continue indefinitely. I wait longingly for the LORD to call us up; pray with a few like-minded souls for HIS imminent return - and wonder why my large church is not preaching on these last days. I sense the creeping and ever-boldening evil expanding and pray for perspective, steadfastness, and boldness to reach out. I work in a place that sees a lot of very lost, misguided people. It wears on my spirit and I say, "LORD, I can't do this much longer!" But then HE gives me HIS eyes to see the individual in front of me, HIS heart to pray in my spirit for them; and if given opening, to express verbally the love of Jesus. Only HIM! HE is my Rock, and HE is my fortress against the onslaught of evil.

It wouldn't surprise me if this IS the time. It wouldn't surprise me if this is the week. It wouldn't surprise me if something were to happen this week, or at any minute during this week. I wouldn't be surprised if we are all gone from here by June 9 or July 2. And the Earth will enjoy it's rest all the time that we are gone. But i'm more paranoid than you guys are. I'm more apprehensive. Because the time IS coming for the Lord to destroy the destroyers of this Earth. Be silent, it goes without saying, and the great city will be split into three parts. Not a third of a part to spare. My understanding is a bit different than you guys. I'm at home this week. Last week i was googling how long would it take for me to walk 35 miles, in case something were to happen while i was at work and i couldn't drive home. They said 10 or 12 hours. It would be better on a bicycle. I think something big will happen on a global scale, and what it will be is the Lord rolling this whole place up like a scroll. Behold, He will come quickly. The Son of Man will be revealed through His Actions, just like on the day that Lot left out from Sodom. All over the world, even in the most remote locations, people will know that the Creator has returned. The Lord has sheep in many folds. And whichever one of these cries out to the name of the Lord shall be saved. And then all the tribes of the Earth will mourn when they see us light up the stratosphere. Then we watch the vials from the sky before going to the Father's House with many rooms. That trip only took Gabriel 3.5 minutes when he visited Daniel in chapter 9, so wherever it is, Heaven is not that far away. At some point -- there will be no more delay...........
Amen, Even so, come, Lord Jesus

It is with humble awe that I write this very post... this very afternoon, May 27, 2019, my older brother, out of the blue on my part, gave me a book called "The Coming Prince" by Sir Robert Anderson. Many of you may have or are familiar with this book or author, but I am not. And it comes to me at a time when there are currently two threads in this very forum discussing the seventy weeks of Daniel 9, which I have been poring over and trying to wrap my mind around. I have jumped in to the book with both feet and am already over 80 pages in and have only made it to the end of the introduction.
One thing(of many) that stood out to me on page 4 of the introduction(this is after 70+ pages of prefaces to the tenth and fifth editions), he states: "It is not in our time only that the end of the world has been predicted. It was looked for far more confidently at the beginning of the sixth century. All Europe rang with it in the days of Pope Gregory the Great. And at the end of the tenth century the apprehension of it amounted to a general panic. "it was then frequently preached on , and by breathless crowds listened to; the subject of every one's thoughts, every one's conversation." "Under this impression, multitudes innumerable," says Mosheim, "having given their property to monasteries or churches, traveled to Palestine, where they expected Christ to descend to judgement. Others bound themselves by solemn oaths to be serf to churches or to priests, in hopes of a milder sentence on them as being servants of Christ's servants. In many places buildings were let go to decay, as that of which there would be no need in future. And on occasions of eclipses of sun or moon, the people fled in multitudes for refuge to the caverns and the rocks"" This was written not long before World War One. Anderson would have known nothing of the Holocaust or of Gay Pride parades or of the general public flocking to see total solar eclipses. If the "panic" that he describes happened when the population was but a fraction of what it is now, how much more imminent is the end when the current population is ignoring all the signs.
I'm of the same mind as you, davewatchman. I would not be surprised if "it" happened tomorrow, or even tonight. It is always on my mind now.
Heavenly Father hear our thoughts and prayers and have mercy on our anguished hearts. You know how much more we are able to endure, but we do not. Please give us strength to endure and wisdom to discern your will. Make the still small voice loud in our ears to guide our every step towards Your Son, our Redeemer and King. It is through His name, Jesus the Messiah, I pray.

FWIW: I have taken a 'wait and watch' attitude.
Life must continue while we abide.
So I log in here.
Read posts.
Comment when I feel led to.
Moderate as needed (when you guys don't beat me to the punch).
Take care of the things that must be taken care of while still in this world.
Watch diligently some more.
Rinse. Repeat.
Now I will go read Gary's article. heh

I only noticed while i was writing this note that both Washington DC AND Tel Aviv are having thier "pride" parades on Pentecost, June 9. I wonder if they planed it that way? "Capital Pride. Capital Pee. This was written not long before World War One. Anderson would have known nothing of the Holocaust or of Gay Pride parades or of the general public flocking to see total solar eclipses. If the "panic" that he describes happened when the population was but a fraction of what it is now, how much more imminent is the end when the current population is ignoring all the signs. I'm of the same mind as you, davewatchman . I would not be surprised if "it" happened tomorrow, or even tonight. It is always on my mind now. And i'm with you stormy. I'm not trying to stir people up, i know that it's scary. I just don't think that we're going to go on for another ten years like this, i think that it's happening now. The world has never seen a time such as this. A time when when the world has become an enabler for the reprobate mind. "Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.Where i live, a large financial institution has aligned itself with the sodomites, the gay "pride" community. The small bank branch in my little country town has 4 flat screen TVs that play the gay advertisements. While we wait in the bank line the "pride" video advertisements play. From their site we can access the upcoming parades: June 9
Boston Pride (Boston, MA) Brooklyn Pride (Brooklyn, NY) Capital Pride (Washington, DC) Pride in the Park (Norwalk, CT) June 9-10
Motor City Pride (Detroit, MI) www.tdbank.com/Pride/Both Washington DC AND Tel Aviv are having their "Days of Lot" day on Pentecost, isn't that interesting? Just like on the day that Lot left out from Sodom? They encourage everyone to celebrate diversity: "Forever Proud."The Forever Proud rainbow circle represents TD's commitment to the LGBT community. We encourage everyone to celebrate diversity and individuality 365 days a year and be #ForeverProud. Why would i want to see this when i'm going to a bank? It makes me think i'm in the minority. Most everyone around me is fine with it. The gentiles are trampling the holy city for 1260 days. We ARE the inner court. But if the seven heads on the composite beast are the seven religious belief systems with blasphemous names written on them, 1)Atheism 2)Paganism 3)Eastern Mysticism 4)Judaism 5)Islam 6)Catholicism 7)Protestantism, Can an Atheist, a Pagan and an Eastern Mystic fall away from God's Laws and ignore His righteous decrees? I would say YES. Because of this clause: "For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. An Atheist knows that it's wrong to murder. A Pagan knows that it's not right to dishonor his parents, and even a Buddhist knows that it's not natural for a man to lie down with a male as he would with a woman. They are without excuse. Like the creator of an invention who takes out a patent on an it, our Creator has the right to say that a man should leave his father and mother and join with the woman and that they should become one flesh. The one that would remain for a short season has come, but is now fallen like the rest, and finds it's place with the seven heads on the composite beast. Come out of her my people. I believe that we are living in the Kingdom of the Antichrist, and at the latter end of it's reign. I believe that the falling away has culminated.

I would say purchase some type of cheap bicycle {Roadmaster Granite Peak for $78 at walmart} and carry it within your vehicle. (at least that way you could get home quicker)
That being said; I am still of the mindset -- that "when it hits" -- it is going to be the rapture -- that is the Kickoff -- and we will not be around to worry about transportation, or food or anything.....

davewatchman , isnt it just so obvious that the sign used to celebrate rampant homosexuality is the same sign (stolen) that the Lord used to promise Noah that He would not destroy the earth again with a flood? The tremendous "irony" of it. The sign that is flaunted is that God wouldnt destroy the earth in this manner rather in another. With the "pride" that this sign is displayed God will not be mocked and will be bringing soon, swift and proper justice to our world. Father in wrath remember mercy (Hab 3:2)
