I'd like to ask a question. I believe numbers are provided in scripture for a reason. Figuring out that reason is often difficult. I'm reading Daniel chapter 8 - about the vision Daniel had of the ram and goat. Daniel heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one asked him "How long will it take for the vision to be fulfilled - the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, the rebellion that causes desolation, and the surrender of the sanctuary and of the host that will be trampled underfoot?" The answer was "It will take 2300 evenings and mornings; then the sanctuary will be reconsecrated." I'm struggling to understand the 2300 days. Any thoughts? I can probably think of something. But the cat has got my tongue. My story on it can sound contradictory to most of the people. And too long. I did a google for the correct spelling on erab/boger, which are the words used for evenings and mornings that point to the Temple service, and found one of my own posts at worthy forum. And it was too long. And it didn't solve anything. So i'd rather not upset the apple cart over it. And everything is connected. Daniel 7, 8 and 9. The man of sin, the apostasy and the rebellion that comes first. I agree with you deekabee, the numbers are there for a reason, and sometimes the solution seems elusive. But it was baked in the cake to be that way. Daniel was sealed. It was written in an enigmatic style that only God could do. He gives the wisdom to the wise. Only He can reveal the deep and the hidden things. If He could keep the 2300 'erab and boger from Paul in the first century, could He keep it from some of the end time disciples now? What if the first century disciples would have known when they were writing the New Testament that there was no chance that our Lord would return before 2000 years would go by. 2000 years. Would it have broken their hearts? It might have put a damper on that optimistic demeanor found in Acts. But now i think we're at the other end of the prophetic time period, at the latter end of it. What if we could know for sure right now that the coming of the Son of Man is right at the door. Like kjs said in the peace deal thread: Can you hear it? The door handle is starting to turn.... Soon Jesus Christ will be stepping back onto the scene !!!!!!!!! And not a moment too soon. The rebels have now become completely wicked. They're waiting for their stern faced king to be revealed. We're living in the kingdom of the rebels. At the latter end of their reign. So my idea on it can be spooky. "And at the latter end of their kingdom, when the transgressors have reached their limit, a king of bold face, one who understands riddles, shall arise.It's the kingdom of the transgressors, the kingdom of the rebels, not the kingdom of the 4 horns anymore. This is not talking about a specific nation or kingdom on earth, but instead has taken a shift and grown up to the four winds of heaven. This is referring to the prevailing number, or group, of world wide transgressing individuals. We are growing WITH the tares, but this kingdom is theirs.. Are we now living at the latter end of this kingdom of transgressors when they have reached or are just about to exceeded their "limit"? Is it a particular transgression itself that makes desolate like the last straw and this causes the cup of the end time Amorites to be filled? In my opinion, the answer is yes. And welcome to the forum

Did you know that the spellchecker wants to change barbiosheepgirl into phenobarbital? Dave that is funny. By the way, I have all my prayers memorized. Prayers 1 through 7 are the morning prayers, 8 through 15 are the evening prayers. Then there are the meal prayers: 16 through 21 are breakfast prayers, 22 through 27 are the lunch prayers, and 28 through 33 are the evening meal prayers. I mention this because the prayer I would like to say at this time is 43, it is a heartfelt prayer of sorts.

I just hope barbio thinks it's funny, she has the keys to my access here. She can shut off my net. I wonder if i would think THAT is funny Did you know that the spellchecker wants to change boraddict into contradict. It's interesting, but not that funny. And you're Prayer set up is cute. I always thought that you had an analytical mind. By the way, i saw some note you wrote on that shoutbox last week and thought it was well said. Something about was the Revelation 12 sign the same to Noah as it was to us. And then someone said why won't we get a seven day warning. And then i thought it's because we are not Noah, Daniel or Job. Even if those three men mentioned by God were here they would save only themselves by their righteousness. And that's when just a country reaches it's limit with God. What will happen when the whole world reaches that point again? Just like in the days of Noah. “Son of man, if a country sins against me by being unfaithful and I stretch out my hand against it to cut off its food supply and send famine upon it and kill its people and their animals, even if these three men—Noah, Daniel a and Job—were in it, they could save only themselves by their righteousness, declares the Sovereign Lord.

A number of years ago a friend told me that he played a joke on another guy. The joke was that to speed up the prayers he had them all numbered, and not only him, but he said that the entire church congregation knew the prayers and had them numbered and memorized. This joke went on for some time and at each small gathering this guy had a few other participants go along with the joke. That is, until one Sunday church meeting the one who was having the joke played on him was called to give the opening prayer for the church congregation; and he only said a number. Needless to say my friend got in a lot of trouble for that joke. I wish that I could have been there. 43 Dave, I was familiar with the verse you quoted but the connection that you have made is prophetic. We must have food in our homes to survive the famine. I am convinced that the judgment upon our nation precedes the rapture. Thus, first is the judgment that includes the Passover, then is the famine that includes the rapture. I believe that this time line is set in the Jubilee of 7 weeks and then on day 50 is the rapture; at Pentecost.

And it relies too heavily on the other participants. I would have no part of that, for the Lord is at hand. I'm glad YOU think it's funny. I just hope barbio thinks it's funny, she has the keys to my access here. She can shut off my net. I believe that this time line is set in the Jubilee of 7 weeks and then on day 50 is the rapture; at Pentecost. You might be right. I'm not AS worried about it as i was a couple years ago. But it's never a bad idea to have some supply in case the lights go out for awhile. A couple three years ago i was paranoid about it. I thought we might have to get through a couple three winters with maybe no furnace running. So i have a 55 gallon drum of kerosene in the basement and hurricane lamps and kerosene heaters and chainsaws and fishing poles and enough cat food for a couple more cats. But now i think that the Lord is at hand. I think the second coming is just going to happen suddenly and we will be gone very fast. The tribes of the earth will mourn, but we will be gone. When the vials are poured, all of God's People will be in the air. Only the lost will remain on earth. They will not repent of their deeds. And they cursed the God of heaven for their pains and sores. I think it's going to go very fast. I think we are much further through the prophetic narrative right now than we realize. And i found this PDF while i was trying to get a date for the Ezra 4. A university commentary on it. It's pretty good, but they still can't agree on a date. If it's BC, then it looks spooky. Where i live, the food is cheap. I don't know how they do it. Maybe it's the low gas prices. I don't even worry about coupons or sales, provisions are cheap. 4Ezra.16[21] Behold, provision will be so cheap upon earth that men will imagine that peace is assured for them, and then the calamities shall spring up on the earth -- the sword, famine, and great confusion. [22] For many of those who live on the earth shall perish by famine; and those who survive the famine shall die by the sword. [23] And the dead shall be cast out like dung, and there shall be no one to console them; for the earth shall be left desolate, and its cities shall be demolished. [24] No one shall be left to cultivate the earth or to sow it. [25] The trees shall bear fruit, and who will gather it? [26] The grapes shall ripen, and who will tread them? For in all places there shall be great solitude;

In 1992 my husband bought 2,700 pounds of wheat. Can you believe that? The wheat is in 50 pound double bags and nitrogen packed. What are we going to do with that much wheat? You can't eat it unless it is cooked as bread. I think at some point we will give it away. He also purchased something like 700 pounds of pinto beans. Really? He did however purchase 500 pounds of rice and we have used some of that. Additionally he has collected numerous 1 gallon tins of dry food. You know, meals in the can and those are quite useful. He also has diesel fuel; for what? Then 2,000 gallons of water in 50 gallon barrels. Like how much water does a person really need? It's all okay. I don't care. I find your chainsaw idea interesting. So let's say you go out to cut some wood and 2 miles away people hear you cutting firewood. You will have unwanted guests at your dinner table. It would be better for you to get a battery powered chainsaw and a solar generator to charge the battery. When this all goes down you will need to remain quiet. Do not go out to cut firewood or do anything else. Just stay in your home and fast and pray. Then one day soon the Savior will collect his saints from throughout the earth. I bet the reason for the wait is to allow others to collect themselves to the fold. It is called Passover for a reason. The saints are passed over when the destroying scourge comes. The big question is, How long do they wait in their homes? In my opinion it is not long but like I said, 7 weeks. You need enough food and water for that length of time.
