Welcome to the forum Leon3357 - I saw a similar article earlier and noted that this was somewhat against the Palestinians or another slap in the face for them. Here is the first few lines from the article you linked: The United States has officially shuttered its consulate in Jerusalem, downgrading the status of its main diplomatic mission to the Palestinians by folding it into the U.S. Embassy to Israel.
For decades, the consulate functioned as a de facto embassy to the Palestinians. Now, that outreach will be handled by a Palestinian affairs unit, under the command of the embassy. |

I think it is kind of a misleading headline and this "non policy shift" is probably going to raise tensions even higher........... I am not saying it's good/bad just that it is not getting much attention

we barely get anything from the middle east in the news. We are no longer dependent on that area for our fossil fuels as we were, even with Syria in ruins, we hear more abuot how evil it is to be hold on to nation identity (Brexit, our wall debate, socialism-venezuala..) than jihad events.. am I wrong on this?
Trump wants us to end the war in Afgan.,, I would think the libs would love that idea. Afterall, who cares about Lybia, or Saudi? why are we not to fully understand our relation with Saudi? From what I saw in the early 2000 media spin, the USA has no right to be nation-building and fightin other peoples wars... the whole thing is a media manipulation and narrative anyways. Who really is in charge of the narrative? the AP? chuck and Nan? Where does one really get the real story anymore?
This is such a mystery this bondage that we are all under in one form or another, whether we like it or not..

BSG - what we are seeing isn't anything new under the sun. Living in it, right in the middle of it, coupled with reading what the nation's did to Israel and how God was always there for them, I see this so clearly now!
This is the beast (system). It was in force when Cain murdered Abel, Noahs time and shortly after I think about 8 people surviving and every offspring of Ham, Shem & Japheth had to have heard and understood that God wiped out the entire human race save 8, but at some point not sin nature (self) crept back in and before you know it Sodom & Gamorrah are wiped out. Then Pharaoh with Moses. The ever opportunistic Adversary always on hand to manipulate the self centered nature we All have, every situation became utterly grave and desperate BUT those who trusted God were saved, delivered. His plan, He is ever faithful.
America, this tension between Dems & Reps is history right in our faces. It's all a distraction for those with scales over there eyes. Lord please remove the blinders from those who can't see and save them!
