Well if my one hunch about the first seal having been opened is correct, watch out for the second one!
BTW, our white horse conqueror, if so, seems to have conquered the Paris Treaty. . . . we'll have to see what else, if anything he conquers. Or if Red Rider comes hot on his heals. . . .

I am struck by the thought of a giant chessboard. A piece called North Korea is being used to tie up or block a number of other pieces that will not be able to be used elsewhere when needed. If No Kor can keep a huge percentage of the US/ NATO nations' attention and resources hostage, they will have a lot less available to threaten/counter/attack/defend/influence/assist/defer/prevent. . . . where?

Also I see a report that the Japanese Defense Minister seeks a "deeper alliance" with the US and officially backs all US options on North Korea, including military strikes.

I've often wondered if Zechariah 1:18-21 might be related to the current world situation with the mention of "craftsmen" being nations developing nuclear weapons, such as North Korea and Iran. It makes me wonder, as the passage mentions 4 powers that will scatter Jerusalem and 4 powers that will be raised up to terrorize them. I don't know if the "Quartet" that was in charge of the Middle East peace process (US, Russia, UN, EU) might be involved in the future division of God's land, but if so, it would seem appropriate that 4 terrorizing nations would rise against those nations.
Then I looked up, and there before me were four horns. I asked the angel who was speaking to me, “What are these?” He answered me, “These are the horns that scattered Judah, Israel and Jerusalem.” Then the Lord showed me four craftsmen. I asked, “What are these coming to do?” He answered, “These are the horns that scattered Judah so that no one could raise their head, but the craftsmen have come to terrify them and throw down these horns of the nations who lifted up their horns against the land of Judah to scatter its people.

What if,
I think the Middle East quartet are the beasts mentioned in Daniel seven. I think they're the ones who started all of this final end day stuff, in actuality. When it says the little horn with a big mouth. I think that's where we are right now. If you notice, we are very close to the ancient one sitting down and opening the book!

I would like to respectfully disagree with this version of the Pre-Trib rapture. Here are my two main points of contention: 1. It is generally agreed that the 24 elders represent the Church. When the Seals are opened, the elders are in Heaven, as shown in Revelation 5:5-8, and 5:14. 2. The Church is not appointed to wrath. These Seals are most definetly the wrath of God. The Lamb of God, who is Jesus, opens the Seals, as shown in Revelation 5:6-7, 6:1, 6:3, 6:5, 6:7, 6:9, 6:12, and 8:1. The Seals are judgements of God, but God is not directly judging supernaturally (for Seals 1-5); rather, He is using men as His instruments of judgement. Just as God used Nebuchadnezzar to judge the people of Israel, so he will use the Antichrist to judge the unregenerate world. Could there be echos of the Seals before the Tribulation? Absolutely, as God tries to gain those last few souls from Satan. However, the actual fulfillment, I believe, will be during the Tribulation period. I hope so; , Antichrist, famine, death of 25% of the world, extreme martyrdom, and a worldwide earthquake is not something I want to live through! |

And you may be right, beloved! We speculate with the knowledge that as the Lord's plans unfold before our eyes, we'll find out where we've been correct and where we've been incorrect. I suspect we'll all be little by little revising our speculations as He proceeds with His established timeline of the end of the age.

It also amazes me that, pretty much, the Middle East Quartet takes in the whole world, as the UN is one of the 4 parts of the quartet. |

The Quartet is the United States, Russia, the EU, and the UN. Ah, ok. My suspected quartet looks a little different, as I have explained in an earlier thread about Daniel 7, but you could be right. My best guess is that the 4th beast is actually an Islamic confederation. But I agree with you partially on the US, except that I combine it with all of NATO, or at least Britain, and then I agree with you on the 2nd beast being Russia. Third for me is an Asian consortium, probably led by China and probably including India. But I could be all wet. |
