This my first post. Been reading all the wonderful discussions for months now and finally had to jump in when I saw this headline. I nearly fell out of chair when reading the news story. Two things popped out. 1) this statement: The Turkish military said it had hit 153 targets so far, including shelters and hideouts used by Kurdish militants. Really?! 153 ! 2) and then this: Under what the Turkish government has called "Operation Olive Branch," Reference to the state of Israel ? Could this be the beginning of the final destruction of Damascus as prophesied in Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49 ? m.jpost.com/Middle-East/Turkish-forces-push-into-Syria-as-Kurdish-forces-fight-back-539339

Ha, I didn’t think of that when I created my username. I was so excited on my first post that I didn’t give any thought to a username. SOG or Sevant Of God is the first thing that popped into my head. I always hope to humbly be so. SOG is also great knife though.

Words are tricky things. It's a good thing to proof read before posting. My spell check tried to change your handle to dog. Would have been a strange welcome!

Ah, no worries. I’m pretty laid back. I would have just rolled with it. Figured it would have been a welcoming term of endearment. Like “Hey, what’s up dog”. Although I don’t think anyone uses that saying anymore.

So exciting!!! Everything is escalating... and I for one cannot wait for His soon appearing. I am so battle weary (like many other Christians). I have heard so many Christians with physical attacks - I know that I am not alone. Satan is doing his best to discredit us, tear us up physically and financially, messing with our minds.
Old slimy dragon doesn't know he is messing with Daddy's Little Girl and he can't win because this little girl's Daddy owns it ALL including streets of pure flowing gold!!!! (I wonder if it with gush up between our toes? LOL)
The dreams that some are having are amazing!

Another interesting factoid is that the man that started the "Arab Spring" by lighting himself on fire (Tarek el-Tayeb Mohamed Bouazizi) Died from those injuries 7 years ago in January of 2011. Many feel his act set in motion a series of events among many mid east nations that has lead us to where we are today. The enemy is now literally moving closer to the Israel border every day. Will Israel bomb Damascus in order to destroy WMD's that are believed to be hidden there and therefore keep them from being taken by their enemy to be used against them? Will this ultimately be the event that starts the 7 year "peace" convenant? Linked is a very good article that ties some of it together. www.raptureforums.com/israel-middle-east/region-turned-upside/

Updated info on Syrian conflict. Looks like next big date is the 31st. ...reported that the EU has scheduled a meeting for Jan. 31, 2018 to discuss ways to force Israel to speed up the peace process. The EU released a statement that read, “There is an urgent need to bring all parties together to discuss measures to speed up efforts that can underpin a negotiated two-state solution.” www.raptureforums.com/bible-prophecy/some-of-the-latest-developments/

“Operation Olive Branch will continue until it reaches its goals. We will rid Manbij of terrorists, as it was promised to us, and our battles will continue until no terrorist is left until our border with Iraq,” Erdogan said on Friday. “Turkey will rid Syria’s Manbij of terrorists following Afrin. Nobody should be bothered by this. Turkey is not occupying Afrin, only fighting against terrorists there.” www.breitbart.com/national-security/2018/01/29/us-general-says-washington-not-withdrawing-troops-from-manbij-turkey-insists-on-invading/This sounds so much like Hitler during his “appeasement” statements regarding the Sudentenland (Chechoslavakia) before WWII. In March 1938 Henlein, referring to the government in Prague, told Hitler: "We must always demand so much that we can never be satisfied." Almost 80 years ago. Lord God be with us. Give us the strength and courage to spread the Gospel.

I think if anyone actually thinks about it they will realize a lasting peace can't be forced. Also i wonder why the EU thinks it has any authority/power over Israel. Fortunately for everyone on planet earth, The Almighty Yahweh has ultimate authority/power over all things.

www.reuters.com/article/us-mideast-crisis-syria-usa/u-s-says-syria-may-be-developing-new-types-of-chemical-weapons-idUSKBN1FL665From article- "The Syrian government may be developing new types of chemical weapons, and U.S. President Donald Trump is prepared to again order military action against Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad’s forces if necessary to deter chemical attacks, senior U.S. officials said on Thursday. Assad’s government is believed to have kept part of its chemical weapons stockpile despite a U.S.-Russian deal under which Damascus was supposed to have handed over all those weapons for destruction in 2014, the officials said." Again it seems that Syria is the crux of the final war against Israel. Destruction of Damascus and then on to Israel.

www.nytimes.com/2018/02/08/world/middleeast/syria-war-idlib.htmlHeadline says “Far From Winding Down, Syria’s War Escalates on Multiple Fronts” From article- “There are multiple fronts where people are under extreme danger without a view to a solution,” Assistant Secretary General Panos Moumtzis, the United Nations’ regional aid coordinator for the Syria crisis, said Tuesday. “We haven’t seen this.” The US just launched air strikes there. The whole country is a tinderbox just waiting for one spark to explode into all out war. Turkey, Russia, Iran, Syrian Army, Kurds, ISIS, United States all fighting over their own patches of land there. And don’t forget Israel, as they obviously have a vested interest in what happens. To me, this is the flashpoint that will kickstart the 7 year tribulation, if it hasn’t started already. Whether that will line up with anything happening in the heavens, only God knows.

www.businessinsider.com/a-us-jet-destroyed-a-russian-t-72-battle-tank-in-self-defense-in-syria-2018-2?r=UK&IR=TA US jet operating in Syria destroyed a Russian-made T-72 battle tank near Al Tabiyeh, Syria, on Saturday. The tank was destroyed one week after Russian forces reportedly fired on a position with US troops and their Syrian allies, the Syrian Democratic Forces. "The tank had been maneuvering with coordinated indirect fire on a defensive position occupied by Syrian Democratic Forces and Coalition advisors," US Marine Corps Major Adrian J.T. Rankine-Galloway said, adding that the SDF's "position was within effective range of the hostile weapons systems."
