Can we first prove the existence of the Van Allen belts? Are they verifiable, theoretical or just the modern-day equivalent of 'Here There Be Dragons'?
I believe that conspiracy theories in general are gnawing at our ability to have faith in that we have not personally seen. That does not bode well for the health of religious faith in the world.

thanks david . you said this: Here is an example of why I believe they could hide the entire moon landing and what proves there is an elite system in our government which is why they fear Trump thru hate, and the tool of media is so far ingrained into it: Hillary Clinton's private email server. Ya know, the one she wiped clean with a cloth... and she not only became a presidential canidate, (poor Bernie Sanders' supporters) she is still walking free. When I go to pump diesel in our ranch truck we are now inundated with commercials from a tv screen that occupies all the pumps at our small town Sinclair. Our town's population is about 5000. The echo of these voices reminds me of the book I read in highschool called 1984...and it also reminds me of the movie the Running Man..where there was constant audio from centralized media sources. The media responsible for giving the gas pumpers their daily spin? NBC CBS or ABC. If you think that it is only exclusive to liberals, where is our dear Ryan from Wisconsin? Quite young to have left such a powerful position.. Meanwhile for those of you prior to David's post, lets talk about the Flat Earth: Why must it be flat? It seems to me the the way atoms are presented parallels the solar system idea. Kinda the same way that the cells of animals and plants are. They have a nucleus and things travel around it. I think a sphere would BE God's choice. Why are those debunking FE theory perhaps considered atheistic? I think the way they portray the universe could very well be the way God set it up. If the earth is flat, then why do ships not reach antartica from travelling due west from California? or an African coast? What about magnets? and a compass? Why is it warmer at the equator than the poles? The way a FE think, then we should have similar temps at antartic and autralia as we do Alaska, no? Or maybe GOd just controls this all, but I think He is bigger than that. I thnk He set it as spheres, and suns and moons and all and it travels by His clock...so what is the big deal?

It wasn’t that long ago that I read 1984. I read it in high school and then did a project on it in college. We are very close now as to what the book describes as the ultimate oppressive and controlling society. I actually had a bit of a creep out moment the other day because it was smack out of 1984. My mom was telling me about great and healthy changes she has been making in her diet and different supplements and vitamins she has been taking. In our discussion she brings up how a collapsed vein in her leg that was painful at times and how she has always been told by doctors that the only remedy is to surgically remove it. It was caused from childbirth and this is not something that is uncommon as a result. My mom pulls up her pant leg just above her ankle behind her calf and it was completely gone! A small slightly darkened area is all that remained and she said that was fading as well. She has had this collapsed vein for almost 30 years and in a few months time it has healed. There is a part in 1984 were the main character describes a similar irritated and swollen vein on his leg and how it was painful and irritated him constantly. Once he rebelled against eating the food that the government supplied and started to eat real food such as fruits and veggies instead, his sore and swollen vein healed and vanished. These healthy foods were banned however and it was a crime to have and eat them. I pulled up these parts of the book online to show them to my mom because of what she had shown and told me 😳

In my mind this youtube site should carry the most weight www.youtube.com/channel/UCqjHW3sIVWspvEw9yRW_HcwSince it shows stunning in pictures in infrared of hundreds of miles away with no curve showing up…. Explain that one – I cannot and it has definitely made me go hmmm. (Face it seeing infrared clear images of buildings and mountains from 100's of miles away -- with NO CURVE) -- how is that done? ?
wow, kjs, those pictures are stunning! That is one nice camera. But the pictures still do not prove a flat earth. For one thing, he was only flying at 35,000 feet. Not high enough to see the curve of the earth. The earth is HUUUUGGGGGEEEEE. The pilots of the SR-71 Blackbird could see curve since they were upwards of 85,000 feet. That being said, if the earth was flat, I would be able to see the Rocky Mountains 250 miles west of my house from ground level because the rise of the terrain is so slow(Kansas is flatter than a pancake!). 3600 feet above sea level at my house and Pikes Peak, which is due west of me, is just above 14,000 feet ASL. But what I can do, and have done, is fly up another 6,000 feet above my house and I can clearly see the whole front range. That will only happen on a sphere. Another proof of a spherical earth is a lunar eclipse. Not a solar eclipse, but a lunar one. I've heard the solar eclipse get explained away as the moon gets between the viewer and the sun. Since, in a FE world, that may be entirely possible, as the sun and moon revolve around the center at different speeds. But what comes between the moon and the sun on a lunar eclipse? The earth, of course! But that can't ever happen in a FE world. NEVER. By the way, I got to see the eclipse last night and it was ...ominous. It was such a dark red.

As I said at the very beginning -- I do not believe in the Flat Earth Theory (that is FE Theory)..... Second Most of those pictures -- where taken at ground level across a body of water in Infrared -- and yes, those images are really there..... which as I already stated makes me go HMMM.... (BUT I did not take such pictures -- I have no idea if the picture taker is "pulling a fast one" ..... so I found it interesting -- not that I bought it hook line and sinker....)
Ok, first we have Sarah Palin claiming to see Russia from her back porch -- and now your claiming you should see Pikes Peak cause -- well it is so much a higher than the land surrounding you.....
So are you claiming you would have an unobstructed view of Pike's Peak from your place --- No trees, buildings..... AND you have such perfect eye sight / telephoto lens that would allow you to zoom in to capture said view?
I am not defending the Flat Earth Idea -- I am simply trying to point out your "proof" of why there is not a flat earth is not a proof.......

I got you, I understand these were not your pics and that you do not believe FE. I was just going by what was presented in the video, that the man took a flight from LA to Florida and in some of the info he showed on the pics was at 35,000 feet, the average altitude of most commercial airways.
As for the unobstructed view, yes, the only trees around my farm are the ones on the farm. For miles around here it is as flat as a sidewalk clear to the horizon. I don't have perfect eyesight, but I have been in a light aircraft 6000 feet above ground level over my farm and yes, I could clearly see the front range, or well their silhouette as it was late afternoon with the sun behind the mountains. Given the opportunity again, I would very willingly take a picture for you, with my phone, as the mountains are that visible from that altitude. It may be awhile, but with a little coaxing, I might be able to get my brother, the pilot, to take me up again.
I don't actually know where Sarah Palin lives in Alaska, but the Bering Strait is only a little over 50 miles across. On a normal clear day, one would probably not be able to see Russia from Alaska, US, as the horizon is typically about 17 miles out on the ocean, but with a little help from a mirage, it very well could be possible. On some nights with very noticeable mirage I can see the lights of cities as far as 60 miles, and if there is high clouds over the front range cities in Colorado, Denver/Colorado Springs/Pueblo, I can see the glow from those city lights on the clouds.
Yes, I know that this all isn't actual proof of a round Earth. Just my witness testimony, not unlike the witness testimony of many biblical writers. I see X and so I believe X. If I am disproved in the future, so be it. It's not a salvation issue. But I do enjoy verbally sparring, although I'm not that good at it. My wife says I just love to argue. hee hee Cheers, kjs. I hope we can laugh about it together soon as we look down!

Another item to make you go Hmmmm
SHOWS THE Longest microwave link ever deployed by NEC over the sea (NEC deploys 176km (about 109 miles) microwave link between the islands of Sao Tome and Principe)
{São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country off the coast of west Africa. The two main islands are São Tomé Island and Príncipe.}
A FEW FUN FACTS
Microwave transmission systems (Pros/Cons)
Advantages-High bandwidth, relatively inexpensive
Disadvantages- Must have unobstructed line of sight, and susceptible to environmental interference {Line of sight -- means that the transmitter and receiver are in view of each other}
Problem is a "Curved earth requires" roughly a drop (or gain) of 2574.77 feet or roughly .48 miles or around ½ mile --- for that distance......
Question: How was the Line Of Sight Achieved?

I am SO READY -- as Chuck Missler was in the habit of saying on some of his videos -- of Watching from the mezzanine level....... for at least seven years.....
It is always fun to "think outside the box" and though I do think the FE is kind of silly .......
I do wonder why the Bible OT -- clearly spells out a Flat Earth ......... a riddle ........ Check out LOGOS Bible Software for a great Graphic ........

The following is from Wikipedia:São Tomé and Príncipe The islands of São Tomé and Príncipe, situated in the equatorial Atlantic and Gulf of Guinea about 300 and 250 kilometres (190 and 160 mi), respectively, off the northwest coast of Gabon, constitute Africa's second-smallest country. Both are part of the Cameroon volcanic mountain line, which also includes the islands of Annobón to the southwest, Bioko to the northeast (both part of Equatorial Guinea), and Mount Cameroon on the coast of Gulf of Guinea.
São Tomé is 50 km (30 mi) long and 30 km (20 mi) wide and the more mountainous of the two islands. Its peaks reach 2,024 m (6,640 ft) – Pico de São Tomé. Príncipe is about 30 km (20 mi) long and 6 km (4 mi) wide. Its peaks reach 948 m (3,110 ft) – Pico de Príncipe. Swift streams radiating down the mountains through lush forest and cropland to the sea cross both islands. The Equator lies immediately south of São Tomé Island, passing through the islet Ilhéu das Rolas.
The Pico Cão Grande (Great Dog Peak) is a landmark volcanic plug peak, at
0°7′0″N 6°34′00″E in southern São Tomé. It rises over 300 m (1,000 ft) above the surrounding terrain and the summit is 663 m (2,175 ft) above sea level.
This from Wikipedia:Horizon Examples: For an observer standing on the ground with h = 1.70 metres (5 ft 7 in), the horizon is at a distance of 4.7 kilometres (2.9 mi). For an observer standing on the ground with h = 2 metres (6 ft 7 in), the horizon is at a distance of 5 kilometres (3.1 mi). For an observer standing on a hill or tower of 100 metres (330 ft) in height, the horizon is at a distance of 36 kilometres (22 mi). For an observer standing at the top of the Burj Khalifa (828 metres (2,717 ft) in height), the horizon is at a distance of 103 kilometres (64 mi). For an observer atop Mount Everest (8,848 metres (29,029 ft) in altitude), the horizon is at a distance of 336 kilometres (209 mi).
Given that most radio communication towers are located as high as possible on the terrain, 176km/109m is within range when you combine the heights of both antennae. Still it is quite impressive. 560Mbps is pretty much 550mbps faster that what I'm running. My dad was a Ham Radio operator in his younger days and used to talk to others all over the nation. I tuned in KFI AM radio from LA on my way home from school on my car radio once. I know these both rely on what is called "skip", the radio waves bouncing off of the atmosphere, which is not reliable in a communication link as the one in the NEC article. I know, I know, now I'm just being a smarty pants. lol
