I have never really been into politics. I stayed away from it because it was always such a heated topic with my family and ended up creating fights and division. Why get into something that created so much strife? Until Donald Trump announced he was running for president. THAT got my attention. At first I thought this was going to be a full blown circus act. I don't mean that disrespectfully, I just knew with such a high profile and well loud personality of a human, this would be something worth watching. Can't say that I was ever disappointed lol. When it came down to Hilary or Trump for voting, I thought well I will vote for the lesser of two evils... with all of Hilary's crooked ties and buying her way into everything I figured she would win. She had so many people wrapped around her finger (or the barrel of a gun...) she would easily get this with flying colors. I prayed for her to please not be our president. Watching the numbers come in was surreal. When the final votes came in from the electoral college I was stunned and knew this was different. My immediate thought was good just won against evil. She is evil and God fully interjected on this. I know he appoints all rulers and leaders, but the was blatant and He wanted it to be so. Now here we are today watching The Donald fulfill Bible prophecy!!!! Please do not think I am putting our President on some high horse or anything. I am just in awe and amazed at the hand of the Lord. His will will be done and He will use whoever to do it!!! Amazing. Anyone else excited? We are living in amazing times! Times that some of our parents, grandparents and previous generations wished and hoped to be part of. Just had to put this out there. Feel free to move to a different thread if necessary  |

I remember watching the election with my husband. I was unable to vote but was cheering as the votes came in because it was good to see a mistake not being made like up here in Canada (There is now a "My Canadian Boyfriend" 2018 Calendar of our Prime Minister and it (sadly) probably wasn't made as a joke). I had to go to bed because I had to be up at 5am and I was disappointed that I didn't get to watch his speech that night. I watched it the next day and it just wasn't the same as watching the day of. The excitement had kind of left the day after. I am still happy everytime I hear of him putting our PM in his place. (How can you tell I didn't vote for Trudon't) If you have some free time, take this quiz that asks whether the quote is by Trudeau or Derek Zoolander. I have had many of the same thoughts. And I don't have many in "real life" that I can talk excitedly to about this stuff. My husband kind of gets it, but he has so many other things on his mind that I mostly keep it to myself.
I do find it amazing. Truthfully, The Donald has surprised me. And God is definitely using him.

I posted on Facebook about Trumps announcement Wednesday and Bible prophecy. I had one friend ask me for clarification, but from her response I don't know that she sees what is going on in the world. I have a couple of friends that see it, but they don't get on Facebook often.
Did you see Trump's speech about Christmas? I only caught part of it that my aunt posted on Facebook.

I have been thinking the same thing, especially after watching Amir's latest video praising him. Back during the primaries, I read the testimony of an evangelical (I wish I could remember who!) who met with all of the Republican candidates during the primary, and he said Trump was very open to his gospel message and wants to obey the Lord as he leads America. I have been praying for him since then and praying he will accept Jesus. I didn't see his Christmas speech, but Amir referenced it in his video. Amazing!
My husband is like yours Natalie... faithfully occupying while we wait and will listen and discuss as long as I don't push it too far!

There are things I really like about Trump and things I really do not like. I do know that God is in charge no matter who happens to be in leadership. I think this coming year is shaping up to be very interesting.

Let me chime in here on something cool. This happened pre-election. I was listening to Jack Hibbs. A sermon recorded some time in the mid summer 2016. At the end of this sermon, Jack mentioned that a really cool thing was happening via Siriusxm. or maybe it was just plain radio transmission, but there was a Christian broadcasting network thing that was able to rent a place to broadcast. and the location was ATOP the Trump Tower! I guess this was a breakthru for NYC. My memory is jumbled on the specifics, but Trump Tower made it possible for this company to transmit. Right then and there, whether you agree with all these evangelicals, he is surrounded by them. Pence praying with him, and these big names, like Jeffers and Hibbs praying with the man. I am telling ya, Trump has the influence to have received God' Gift, and to be raptured and wouldnt that be a surprise to many?

OK, I admit it, cwood85, you created a great thread, and I took the bait. I love end-times and politics, but I realize that the two can be divisive. I promise I won't hijack the thread, or make it a political hit piece.
*** For what it's worth, I have friends and family on both sides of the fence. I want to just highlight a few of the facts that specifically relate to end-times, rather than a lot of subjective Trump vs Obama/Hillary opinions. I can't remember who it was, but one new end-times guy just recently (November, I think) on YouTube, had a great quote "God's Foreign Policy is pretty simple - Bless Israel and You will be blessed, curse Israel and you will be cursed." - People will have different takes all day on Trump's tweets, etc, and some things he's said and done 15 years ago. - The fact is whether people love Trump, hate him, or are indifferent, he is the most Pro-Israel president in US history. - A lot of people don't realize it, but all his sons married Jewish wives, and Ivanka converted - [Keeps Kosher] and since Judaism is passed through the Mother, all his grandchildren are Jewish. - Another fact is that multiple presidents, left and right, all campaigned on moving the Embassy - (even some Democrat presidents) and many have verbally supported Israel, ***but all of them, kept signing the waiver, which was written in the law that it had to be signed every 6 months, to delay the move, - for security reasons. ;-( - Whatever people think of him, he has forever sealed his legacy as the first President, and the first country in History, to officially and publically declare what we all know was true - That Jerusalem is the historical and official capital of Israel, and to move the US embassy to Jerusalem. ;-) - He has removed all the Muslim prayer rugs from the white house, and he very explicitly put Jesus Christ -"Our savior and Lord" in his Christmas speech. - Even Jewish rabbis and leaders have said that his declaration has paved the way for the 3rd Temple - !!! how exciting. It is setting the stage, and now, because of this stand with Israel, 9 other countries voted with Israel and the US. - Multiple rabbis have compared him to Cyrus, and one Government official even declared that there will be a station named after Trump, at the Western wall.  - Get this - the only other country in Europe - [so far] to officially declare Jerusalem as the capital - is an atheist country - the Czech Republic. !!!  Can you believe it. -After this move, Guatamala / or Columbia, has also officially and publically declared that they will move their embassy to Jerusalem. - J D Farag, believes that the reason the US does not help Israel is NOT that we abandon her - *** tens of millions of Evangelical Christians who support Israel - but that we will be raptured - Including Trump and Pence, and tens of thousands of Military - from the top generals down, and law enforcement officers - will be "harpazoed" out, - the US would be in total chaos, and anarchy, and there will be world-wide panic. Our military incapacitated. Wow. wow.
Anyway, that's my take. Hope you are encouraged.
I believe with all my heart, soul and mind, that we are seeing labor pains. All the converging signs, Revel 12 sign, Jerusalem, extreme weather, all the players in place for Gog of Magog, and this is the 70th anniver for Israel, blood moons, eclipse, etc.

A friend and I were talking about this over the holidays, and she said, "Wouldn't it be exactly like God to use someone like Trump?" Why yes! Yes, it would be exactly like God to use someone like Trump to accomplish His work. What an awesome God we serve!

I am not at all concerned with politics at this point as God is in full control, and the situational things playing out geopolitical will all be for God's honor and glory, for His plan will be accomplished before this age comes to a close.
Keep strong in the faith and have no fear for we are in Christ and Christ in us!

I think every single member on this forum would agree with you that God is sovereign and in full control - "In his right hand are riches and honor - It is at his discretion that men are made great and given strength." None of the leaders, kings or world events are a surprise to God, nor could any of these hinder his plan.
It's just incredible - surreal, though to think about. Not only would most people have laughed at the very notion three years ago, that Trump would be president, but that a brash construction mogul would be the most Pro-Jewish president in the history of the world, and that he would be the first one to officially declare Jerusalem the historical capital of Israel. Just think about for a minute - He's not even Jewish, but all his grandchildren are. ;-) Every reputable end-times teacher whether they like Trump or not - agrees that this official declaration was a catalyst - started a chain of events that fulfills prophecy. My parents saw prophecy literally fulfilled with the birth of Israel in 1948. I think it's stunning that we are seeing Bible prophecy fulfilled before our eyes. - two prophecies in the last 2 months. Alliance of Iran, Turkey, and Russia - Gog of Magog, and the Official declaration of Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel. I think we'll see things speed up - increased labor pains in 2018 as we get closer to the 70th anniv of Israel becoming a nation.
