Strong storms here in central IL today. We have had wind, hail, and lots of rain. We measured 5 1/4 inch from about 10 am until 2:30 pm. I put this under weird weather because our basement has water in it coming from an area that has not leaked since we have lived here (18 years). (Thankfully it's in an unfinished part and so far it doesn't look like anything is ruined.)

A bit of an update...we got 8 inches of rain at our house. I've never known us to get that much! Low lying parts of town flooded including the house of my son's best friend. They had three feet of water in their lower level which is their main living area. Our town is along a river, so flooding there is not unusual. Flooding like this in town is.
