I struggle with it too though AlwaysPraying ! There is so much going on, it's like I can't emotionally spare any more feelings... Where I live, fall is starting, the air is cooling, he skies are bright blue and clear. It's hard to imagine that horror is coming but at the same time it's hard to empathize with the suffering the IS occurring. But I can see for people who do,not know Jesus at all, that all they can spare to care about is themselves and their own families because there's just too much suffering everywhere. MissusMack08 I think it's attitude of the heart that's the main issue. There's a big difference, to me, in not researching out every tragedy going on around the world (I myself avoid most of the news for just this reason) to protect your own spirit and well-being, and an attitude of hearing or seeing a tragedy taking place and making jokes about it or spewing profanity toward those it's affecting and making a mockery of what's going on. I don't think you'd do the latter. Edit: So to be clear, when I say people's love is growing cold and they don't have care or concern unless it directly affects them, I mean when a person hears about something happening and has no empathy/concern for the people it does affect. Because I think it will be impossible to live during the great tribulation (at least in modern societies) and not hear about the tragedies going on. Oh ok. I gotcha. That's really horrible that people would mock people who are suffering, but the idea of karma has spread around the globe (especially in our country) like wildfire. The idea of karma allows people's hearts to be cold because they believe the suffering is deserved (usually until something bad happens to them, then it's "poor, pitiful me! Here's my gofundme page...") i think I'm just frustrated with not knowing what to do other than pray for the people who are suffering. Satan likes to whisper in my ear, "it's because you don't really care. You don't REALLY love your neighbor as yourself, or you'd do x, y, and z." It bogs me down sometimes.

I believe prayer and intercession is powerful (screen name gives it away, lol). If God opens up an opportunity before me or you to help someone in a tangible/material way, we should take advantage (He'll lead us in this area). But don't think that if you only pray you're doing nothing. Remember how much Jesus commended the widow with two mites who contributed to the temple treasury over those blowing trumpets before putting their large offerings in. I think God's accounting of what's important is drastically different from what the world says matters.

Definitely praying and interceding heavily for the people there. Many are running out of food and water.

I am quoting myself. Hahaha. Anyways, what I find interesting about the imminency of the dam breaking is that it potentially parallels what will happen when the rapture occurs. Officials are urging people to get to safety/ God has been nudging us to get right with him before it is too late by giving us a sign in the heavens that we can pin a date on. If you don't get to safety, you may not survive when the dam breaks/ Likewise, when the rapture occurs, if you are left, you may not survive the seven years. Aid has been made available to the island prior to the breaking of the dam/ God has provided us with his word and his word says that there will be two witnesses. We know this prior to the rapture. The flood is coming. I am glad I am aboard the ark. 😁

Maria back to Cat 1 status. She's supposed to cross the Atlantic and perhaps team up with Lee to hit the U.K. And Europe. But if we've learned anything about hurricanes this year... they don't do what they are expected to do, even based on data from one day prior. Did anyone predict Maria would restrenghthen into a Cat 1 at this point? Keep watching...

Will they pay me big bucks for predicting a hurricane will be unpredictable??? Lol
Maria didn't make the "hard right turn" as PREDICTED. Still tracking north.
