The text:
Isaiah 19King James Version (KJV)
19 The burden of Egypt. Behold, the Lord rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.
2 And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.
3 And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.
4 And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the Lord of hosts.
5 And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up.
6 And they shall turn the rivers far away; and the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither.
7 The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and every thing sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more.
8 The fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast angle into the brooks shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.
9 Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded.
10 And they shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sluices and ponds for fish.
11 Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?
12 Where are they? where are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now, and let them know what the Lord of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt.
13 The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof.
14 The Lord hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.
15 Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which the head or tail, branch or rush, may do.
16 In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the Lord of hosts, which he shaketh over it.
17 And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the Lord of hosts, which he hath determined against it.

Blow by blow (to be continued as I'm able)
Isaiah 19 King James Version (KJV)
1 The burden of Egypt. Behold, the Lord rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.
This is one of several passages mentioning the Lord riding on clouds, or coming in the clouds. While it may very well be that not all passages mentioning Him in the clouds are related, there are surely things to be learned from comparing different cloud passages. Perhaps I will look into this later. For now, see that this is when the Lord comes to visit Egypt with a massive day of reckoning. This prophecy may have been partially fulfilled in Old Testament days, but I believe we will see much of it come to pass in these upcoming times.
2 And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.
Egyptian civil war. This is not too hard to imagine, seeing how there are several opposing factions in Egypt today. If you enter ISIS or their proxies into the mix, this could be very tumultuous indeed.
3 And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.
Very interesting, this. Today I don't think very many Egyptians are what we would call classic idolaters-- most are either moslems or Christians, both of which eschew idolatry. This verse could be harking to Jeremiah's day when Babylon attacked Egypt, but where was the truly civil war in those days? Back then it was Babylon against Egypt, not Egypt against Egypt. Clearly Egypt's ancient idols are found in abundance in the land today, but they are not worshipped, they are exhibited as cultural tourist attractions and archaeological marvels. Not to be bowed down unto. This would seem to indicate there will be a sharp turn to systematic idolatry before during, or because of the upcoming Egyptian civil war. Quite possibly some of the Egyptian people will turn to the ancient idols found abundantly in their land and try to worship them. I find it ironic that one of Egypt's foundational gods is called Isis.
4 And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the Lord of hosts.
So who will this guy be? Will this be the end-time antichrist? Quite possibly, but not necessarily. He could be one of the ten kings. Especially if my hunch is correct that the "Terrible Beast" with ten horns is actually a united Moslem kingdom. Also consider the possibility of the "King of the South" from Daniel 11. I have not studied Daniel 11 in great depth yet, but I hope to eventually.
5 And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up.
This KJV terminology of the waters failing is used elsewhere in the Bible, such as Joshua 3:16, to refer to when the Jordan River was parted. The waters failed, or wasted away downstream on the one side, until there was dry ground to walk across. Also I hasten to remind you that the word "sea" in the Old Testament can refer to almost any body of water, not just one connected to the ocean. Therefore we have the Dead Sea, the Sea of Ganesaret (Galilee), and so on. It can even refer to a river. In this case, I submit to you that it probably refers to waters of the reservoir of the Aswan High Dam, which is a lake, or sea in Hebrew terms. The Nile drying up, to the best of my knowledge, has never been witnessed before in history, though I could be wrong.
6 And they shall turn the rivers far away; and the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither.
This is the critical verse that shows us this prophecy is on the verge of occurring today. "THEY shall turn the rivers" --ok, who's "they?" Good question, we're not told. But to turn the river(s) far away by human intervention would involve a very massive construction project. Enter the GERD, or Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, which, when completed as scheduled this summer, will be the largest capacity dam in Africa, larger even than the Aswan High Dam, and located farther upstream of it. The Gerd is being built large enough to contain a whole year's worth of Nile (85% of the lower Nile's water flows through that dam). It is being built by the nation of Ethiopia-- which indeed has had a major renaissance in the last decade, quickly becoming one of the most powerful and influential nations in Africa. I have studied the Hebrew words for "brooks of defence" and have found that this could easily be an ancient-world attempt to describe a dam across the river. When it says the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up, I believe this is a reference to Egypt's Aswan High Dam (AHD), which will be depleted of its water. We are looking at a Tale of Two Dams here-- the old one in Egypt (AHD) and the new one in Ethiopia (GERD). When the Ethiopians begin filling the GERD, if they fail to take it slowly enough, it will severely impact the level of the AHD downstream in Egypt. This could easily paralyse the Egyptian economy, as we see in the next few verses, since all their modern economy rests on the water and hydroelectric power of the AHD.
7 The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and every thing sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more.
Depleted river water means the natural and cultivated vegetation will wither and perish. Without the Nile, Egypt is nothing but blistering desert.
8 The fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast angle into the brooks shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.
Not only will the crops perish, but so will the fish. This will result in major famine.
9 Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded.
Little did Isaiah know that Egypt's primary cash crop in the 21st Century would be cotton-- a plant there was evidently no word for in Hebrew at the time, so "fine flax" was used. The Egyptian cotton and textile industry shall be destroyed.
10 And they shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sluices and ponds for fish.
Those whose job it is to manage canals and waterways will be out of work too.
11 Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?
We may now be referencing fulfilled prophecy of BC time, but I'm not sure.
12 Where are they? where are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now, and let them know what the Lord of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt.
No comment yet. . . .
13 The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof.
No comment, but it could have to do with the possible uptick in systematic idolatry I referenced in the first few verses.
14 The Lord hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.
Egypt is doomed.
15 Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which the head or tail, branch or rush, may do.
Unemployment from top to bottom.
16 In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the Lord of hosts, which he shaketh over it.
A huge insult to the men of Egypt, who consider women to be about as valuable as dirt.
17 And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the Lord of hosts, which he hath determined against it.
They shall know that Israel is favored by God, and that they (Egypt) is not.

Pray for the people of Egypt. The civil war portion of Isaiah 19 is ongoing and intensifying. bigstory.ap.org/article/88b8fef3a96e433c902a303cd5db928e/egypt-state-media-bombing-church-nile-deltaTwo Coptic churches bombed today, 43+/- people killed, many more wounded. Isa 19:20 And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them. Isa 19:21 And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it. Isa 19:22 And the LORD shall smite Egypt: he shall smite and heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and he shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them. Isa 19:23 In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians. Isa 19:24 In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land: Isa 19:25 Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.

A secular video about the drying up of the Nile. They blame it on climate change. . . . but you can see a lot of Isaiah 19 happening now even before the GERD is finished.
This was filmed in 2009, and I don't think they knew about the GERD at that time.
This one is good too, filmed in 2012
And this one is last year 2016:

Ok, here's a new article, thanks to Amy Van Gerpen over at RITA Now, that says Ethiopia itself is now in drought conditions. Remembering everything we talked about up above, and how the Nile is ALREADY drying up, a drought in the source of the Nile will now be catastrophic. Remembering that Ethiopia is slated to complete construction of the GERD this summer, and that they have promised Egypt that they will not hurt the downstream flow of the Nile, I ask you, ladies and gentlemen of the jury of educated guesses, what do you think Ethiopia is going to choose to do when the giant dam is complete? Keep letting the diminished Nile flow on down to Egypt, or. . . . start filling the dam to provide for their own needs? www.spacedaily.com/reports/Ethiopia_drought_creates_food_crisis_for_77_million_999.html

Interesting. Everything is in place for the Nile to dry up. There is also a dam in Turkey that can dry up the Euphrates river with the push of a button - making way for the kings of the east.
