I truly believe that God wants to bless His children. And He does it in many different ways. But huge surprise blessings always amaze me.
So, we are planning on going to see my parents on the 27th. They live about an hour and 20 minutes from us. Well back last fall we had our van in for maintenance, and it really needs new tires. As in we really shouldn't be driving it much. (We could use a new vehicle but it's not a "need" yet) Well, when my husband lost his job we kind of just pushed the issue to the side. So, two days ago I was thinking that I really didn't want to drive our van to my parents' house, but having three kids who are now almost as big as me smooshed into the back seat of my husband's car wasn't real comfortable to them. (They could do it, but who wants to listen to them complaining about it )
Yesterday, I get the mail and there was a letter from my mom. In it was some money. She also sent a note that it was from some of the money she had received when her dad died. There was a check for each kid for some new summer clothes, and a check for me with no comment about it. It's enough to get new tires.
He knows our needs. Sometimes we have to wait, but He knows our needs. I hadn't even prayed about this situation for months, but He heard.

Thank you for sharing about your blessing! I also needed tires recently. My summer tires needed replacement and it was time to change to them. I didn't have quite what I needed to pay for them but God provided in the form of a decent tax refund for my husband this year. I found it interesting that we were both blessed with the ability to purchase tires. Perhaps there is a shared journey in our near future. 😉

"Where we're going...we don't need roads." (maybe you know that one?)
