I keep seeing things about "Giving Tuesday" and so I simply want to post about the greatest gift...
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life."

Micah 5:2
But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days.

Luke 1:35
And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God.

I have heard verse 6 quoted in a way of "God does whatever He wants; who are we to question Him". But, as I read it yesterday in context, I saw it more as God being contrasted with idols (other gods). Idols cannot do anything. Later in the Psalm it talks about how idols cannot speak, or see, or hear. Those that serve idols become like them. So serve the Living God who is active and takes care of His own.
Psalm 135:5-7 For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods. Whatever the LORD pleases, He does, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all the deeps. He it is who makes the clouds rise at the end of the earth, who makes lightnings for rain and brings forth the wind from His storehouses.
It then goes on to tell what He did in Egypt and Canaan for His people.

Psalm 107:8-9
Let them thank the Lord for His steadfast love, for His wondrous works to the children of man! For He satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul He fills with good things.

1 Chronicles 16:28-29
Ascribe to the Lord, O clans of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength! Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him! Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness;

Psalm 147 is probably one of my favorites. I'm going to post the whole thing but not all at once.
Psalm 147:1-6 Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant, and a song of praise is fitting. The LORD builds up Jerusalem; He gathers the outcasts of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars; He gives to all of them their names. Great is the Lord, and abundant in power; His understanding is beyond measure. The LORD lifts up the humble; He cast the wicked to the ground.

Continuing on with the 147...
Psalm 147:7-11
Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; make melody to our God on the lyre! He covers the heavens with clouds; He prepares rain for the earth; He makes grass grow on the hills. He gives to the beasts their food, and to the young ravens that cry. His delight is not in the strength of the horse, nor His pleasure in the legs of a man, but the LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His steadfast love.

finishing 147
Psalm 147:12-20
Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion! For he strengthens the bars of your gates; he blesses your children within you. He makes peace in your borders; he fills you with the finest of the wheat. He sends out his command to the earth; his word runs swiftly. He gives snow like wool; he scatters frost like ashes. He hurls down his crystals of ice like crumbs; who can stand before his cold? He sends out his word, and melts them; he makes his wind blow and the waters flow. He declares his word to Jacob, his statutes and rules to Israel. He has not dealt thus with any other nation; they do not know his rules. Praise the Lord!

Proverbs 2:6-8
For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of His saints.

Heb 13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Micah 5:2 But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from old, from ancient days. Micah 4:8 And you, O tower of the flock, hill of the daughter of Zion, to you shall it come, the former dominion shall come, kingship for the daughter of Jerusalem. Here's a 7 1/2 min video on the location of the birth of Messiah which these two verses mention. (If short on time, skip to 2 min and listen for a couple of minutes) Ever wonder how the shepherds knew which manger to look in? "And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger." Luke 2:19

Sometimes I cant seem to express whats in my mind in words or written form. The goodness of God overwhelms my thoughts and I'm not always able to verbalize whats inside. This spoke to my heart today. Be blessed! Psalm 71:12 O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste to help me! 13 May my accusers be put to shame and consumed; with scorn and disgrace may they be covered who seek my hurt. 14 But I will hope continually and will praise you yet more and more. 15 My mouth will tell of your righteous acts, of your deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is past my knowledge. 16 With the mighty deeds of the Lord GOD I will come; I will remind them of your righteousness, yours alone.
