After nearly two years, the LSV is almost over the finish line. I began work on this project sometime around February or March of 2018. Hard to believe it's almost here. So... I'm giving sneak peeks to different circles of friends and you all are high on the list. Below is the link to the digital version. drive.google.com/file/d/12JU9yfHZ3QXFeu2KeoHeosdqZSZCWp-f/viewKeep in mind that this is the PRE-First Edition. I'm still reviewing a few things. You also can't download this just yet. In a few weeks, when the print version goes live, you'll be able to download the digital version. Once downloaded, the digital version is fully navigable by book and chapter. As a literal translation, many idioms and Hebraisms are preserved. You'll find that the language is smooth in places and a little strange in others. That's the nature of producing a strongly formal equivalence translation.

Thanks Gary. The very small sections that I read were wonderful. I'm looking forward to a navigable version!! What do the blue highlit words indicate? Eg. John1:14 "beheld"??

mc, I'm glad you are liking it so far! I'm not sure about the blue highlighting. That isn't part of the Bible itself. My guess is that your browser is highlighting that word for some reason (maybe it thinks it's a misspelling). Some of the built in spellcheckers in browsers are pretty limited.

Gary, I love it so far! Thank you. This feels like an updated Young's Literal, and I'm fully here for it. God bless you and it. Also, you used the Majority Text (!) and put the Gospel in the first couple pages (!!) ! Not only that, you guys translated Revelation 5: 9-10 correctly! I could hug you ! This looks seriously wonderful; take my money

Thank you my friend. I'm glad you are enjoying it! There's a lot to it. The Gospel is in the front and the Key Scriptures section walks a reader through key points in the Bible, including the Gospel, from Genesis to Revelation. Regarding Revelation 5:9–10, Greg Lauer has about the best overall study on the manuscript evidence that I've seen: alittlestrength.com/articles/2017/1711-elders-revisited.htm

Gary, Great job on this. I really enjoy the way it reads. Yes, there are words here and there that kind of stick, but isn't that why those words were changed in the first place? So that a phrase would 'roll off the tongue' better at the expense of the meaning? I look forward to it's release. Thank you for all your hard work.

LSV goes live tomorrow morning. With everything completely finished, I went back to do a word count and I found a couple of interesting things. To do this accurately I had to strip out everything, but the text itself, so I took out all book and chapter headings, verse numbers, etc. I used two different methods to count to confirm, because when you're counting something with nearly 800,000 words there is room for error.
The LSV has exactly 780,759 words. For comparison, the KJV has 783,137 (although different methods have changed that KJV # a bit).
The number of words in the LSV are divisible by 3, 7, 7+7+7, and 153.
The middle word in the LSV is "God" in Psalm 57:2. There are exactly 390,379 words preceding it and 390,379 words after it.
The first word is "In," the middle "God," and the last "Amen."
The LSV has 3,295,441 characters.
No point to this, haha, just thought it was interesting.
