witness1 - the site itself has a wide variety of topical items down the right side. I have personally studied these. But comparing historical info to the biblical counterparts this site lays out is hard to dispute. Again I haven't personally vetted any of it but the areas make tons of sense.

Wow... this is a fascinating site. So much there. Some excellent points about the 70th week I will share on the other thread. Thanks for sharing sog and Mike.

Anyone have thoughts on how the "sorceries" ( Greek "pharmakia", spelling?) play into the the destruction of Babylon the great? Revelation 18:23.

I have been perusing that site sog and think I may have been there about a year ago as well. As witness1 says there is a lot of compelling info there. I particularly am interested in how history lines up with Daniel and how (if correct) many (including myself) have been duped into the whole 70th week pause error mike , I've been going through this site step-by-step as the author laid it out and I must say it has changed my views on many things. The 70 weeks of Daniel, the beast, false prophet, even end time rapture. I used to be pretty staunch in the pre-trib rapture camp. Now, I'm not as sure, but am still open to other interpretations as long as they are sound biblically. btw, I really dislike all the categorization we as Christians use to describe eschatology (pre-trib, mid-trib, pre-wrath, post-trib, etc.). It tends to divide us rather than bring us together with one mindset. Our savior - Jesus. This brings me to my next point and why this is important to understand. What is the best way to destroy man, and Christians specifically? Throughout history it has always been the same. Satan divides and conquers. He destroys from within. Empires, countries, institutions, and on down to the very family unit. Satan has been destroying families for generations by using man’s sin against himself. This country is being destroyed from within. Politics has virtually torn it in two overnight. And what is the best way to destroy Christianity? From within. Hence satan’s Roman Catholic Church. Setup to deceive from the very beginning. I believe it is Babylon. In my opinion it makes the most sense with the timeline and biblical evidence supported by historical events. Future 70 week timelines try to “fit” much of the events at the end. That is what many here struggle with, myself included. This link sort of starts off his whole study and at the bottom has the next link to progress through systematically. You’ll definitely have to have an open mind to another way of looking at Daniel and Revelation. Pray for Discernment. revelationtimelinedecoded.com/One thing I am not saying is that this guy has it all exactly right. Only our Father in Heaven knows what is truth. So read, but verify.

Anyone have thoughts on how the "sorceries" ( Greek "pharmakia", spelling?) play into the the destruction of Babylon the great? Revelation 18:23. barb84 , I’ve been giving some thought to your question. In order to get to it, I first want to back up a few verses. Revelation 18:15-24 15 The merchants of these things, who became rich from her, will stand at a distance because of the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning, 16 saying, ‘Woe, woe, the great city, she who was clothed in fine linen and purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls; 17 for in one hour such great wealth has been laid waste!’ And every shipmaster and every passenger and sailor, and as many as make their living by the sea, stood at a distance, 18 and were crying out as they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘What city is like the great city?’ 19 “And they threw dust on their heads and were crying out, weeping and mourning, saying, ‘Woe, woe, the great city, in which all who had ships at sea became rich by her wealth, for in one hour she has been laid waste!’ 20 “Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, because God has pronounced judgment for you against her.” 21 Then a strong angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “So will Babylon, the great city, be thrown down with violence, and will not be found any longer. 22 “And the sound of harpists and musicians and flute-players and trumpeters will not be heard in you any longer; and no craftsman of any craft will be found in you any longer; and the sound of a mill will not be heard in you any longer; 23 and the light of a lamp will not shine in you any longer; and the voice of the bridegroom and bride will not be heard in you any longer; for your merchants were the great men of the earth, because all the nations were deceived by your sorcery. 24 “And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all who have been slain on the earth.” First, I’d ask that you look at these verses from the point of view that this is referring to Rome “the great city” and more precisely the Vatican and that it is was and still is Babylon, though in a different form now. revelationtimelinedecoded.com/revelation-18-mystery-babylon-harlot-destroyed/The end of this article talks about the sorcery (or pharmakia in Greek) a little differently than I would interpret it’s meaning in this context, but it’s close enough to not take away from what is going on. The Greek word “pharmakia” literally means “drugs”, and appears five times in the New Testament: in Gal 5:20, Rev 9:21, 18:23, 21:8, and 22:15. “Pharmakia” is translated into our English Bible as either “witchcraft” or “sorceries”. We also get our English word “pharmacy” from the Greek word “pharmakia”. I think it’s clear that believers in this harlot church or those that rely on her, this Babylon, are drugged or duped, are drunk with it’s wealth and power, are deceived with it’s witchcraft, it’s lies.
