yesterday 12/12/17, our Dish decided to reboot and installed software. Then later that night, the screen got interrupted with an emergency sound, This is a test...voice came on. Maybe they finally got around to putting the system into satelite TV, but it still is eerie. We never watch local programming, so we rarely see those alert tests anymore...

We do not have cable or regular TV. We have a digital tuner for the "awesome" digital signal that never works verses analog that worked lol. We do not get one single local channel with the digital signal! Our tornado sirens are not that loud either :/ |

One of them emergency alerts came across my phone when I was driving and about caused me to swerve off the bridge. Dang it was loud. I wonder how loud the last trumpet will be.
