Let me preface what I am going to say with a caveat: I have long had practice from my youth of being able to step outside of the dream and watch it as if it were a movie. I used to be part of the dreams I was having, until I figured out how to step outside of them and become an observer, not a participant.
This dream I was a part of. I have not had one of that type in a very long time. I can usually recognize it as a dream and be an observer rather than a participant. I was a participant in the dream below. All of it. Not an observer like usual.
It was Saturday morning while I slept.
I forget the beginning (it might have been me knowing I was sleeping - this is how I know to become an observer), but I recall that all of a sudden I was flying up though the sky. Not flying like you'd think, but being lifted up as if I was sitting in a sports car bucket seat, though my impression was more like on an amusement park ride sized seat. It felt like I was sitting in a gigantic hand. I felt encapsulated by the air around me. It felt like it was a cushion, or thick, despite the high speed of movement - no movement of air around me. In a bubble. I thought it was the harpazo.
I remember the feeling that it was my grandfather (mother's father) who was lifting me up, though I never saw him, and once I let logic kick in, I realized it couldn't be his hand, but God's. But I felt his presence.
Then the scene changed, and I was in a double-room. The double-room reminded me of the finished basement of my grandparents (father's parents) house in terms of its layout and ambiance. It felt like it was a waiting area. There were three old women sitting and chatting there. The three old women I did not know. I knew I had arrived there from the previous part of the dream because I still felt my grandfather's presence. I did not get a chance to talk to them before I woke up, though I wanted to find out who they were. Also, an aunt was there. I recognized her.
I was about to look around and see who else was there, then go talk to the three women when I woke up. I immediately checked the clock. It was 9:48am pacific.

Hello everyone! I have never posted before but have been following the sign since the eclipse and have been on the same roller coaster as y'all with getting excited and a bit disappointed over each new feast date. However I was never able to fully rejoice or be completely at peace as I was consumed with sadness over the thought of leaving a world that doesn't know Him. I hated knowing what was coming for my friends and neighbors, yet I was plagued with inactivity from not knowing what to do. I begged God to pour out His spirit and give me boldness and wisdom... my own efforts have been so feeble. It was a roller coaster of emotions which I won't belabor, but I do want to share what I think the Lord has led me to through this time. I find it interesting that it seems to fit with the dreams of cwood85 . I offer this for discussion and collaboration and welcome your thoughts. This has been a really hard week for me as these thoughts are very difficult, and I would appreciate some feedback.
In short, I am wondering whether we are called to be the 2 witnesses in Revelation 11. "These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands..." (Rev 11:4) Revelation 1:20: "The seven lampstands are the seven churches." Are 2 of the 7 churches called to this special task? A lampstand lit up the room in cwood85 's dream.
The 2 witnesses are protected from the evil one for 1260 days with the power to pour fire from their mouths. (This fits with the evil one's gun not being effective in the dream.) The witnesses prophesy while the holy city suffers trampling and Israel is nourished in the wilderness. At the end of the 1260 days, they are killed and come back to life. God says, "Come up here" and they go up to heaven in a cloud. It is the only mention in Revelation of anyone being taken up to heaven. Then there is an earthquake and the 7th trumpet. The last trumpet of Revelation. I think it makes sense that this could be "the last trump" instead of a trumpet connected to a feast date. I understand that this ascension to heaven is a different word than harpazo, but the witness' ascension is on God's power and not their own.
I wonder, as living sacrifices and a royal priesthood, if we could be the priest to make atonement for Israel's sin in Lev 12. I'm not sure about this since I know Christ is the only one who can atone for sin, but I wonder if we are called to sacrifice our living bodies and witness to Israel. I wonder if the abomination putting an end to the daily sacrifice happens when the witnesses are killed... their daily sacrifice is over. I find it interesting that I "happen" to be teaching 1 Peter to a group of college students... the theme is joy in suffering and how that connects to being living stones, a royal priesthood, and spiritual sacrifices.
I arrived at this position of us perhaps being the 2 witnesses through praying that the Lord would give more of His spirit to do great things in the last days. Then I saw that the witnesses did indeed do great things. I believe Israel could be provoked to jealousy when she sees Gentiles performing the signs of her prophets (Moses and Elijah). Also, I believe the sign on Sept 23 was pointing us to where we are in the book of Revelation. It seems to me that we are in Rev 12:7-17. The devil is about to make war with the woman, find that she is protected, and then turn to make war with her offspring, "those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus". (Rev 12:17)
Revelation 10... the little scroll... seems to fit with this theory. My stomach has indeed been bitter this week even though the thought of being His witnesses tastes like honey at first. Verses 5-7 especially caught my attention: "And the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, that there would be no more delay, but that in the days of the trumpet call to be sounded by the seventh angel, the mystery of God would be fulfilled, just as he announced to his servants the prophets." Is this the mystery of 1 Corinthians 15:51? "Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet."
Following are the verses the Lord has brought to mind this week. I have put parts in bold and different colors so you can perhaps see my string of thought.
Acts 1:6-8 "So when they had come together, they asked him, 'Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?' He said to them, 'It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
Matthew 24:8 "All of these are but the beginning of the birth pains. Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake... and this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, then the end will come." (I'm thinking the end of the earth/throughout the whole world make sense together. Christian missionaries have long connected these verses. My husband's seminary had a huge map where they charted which people are unreached by the Gospel. He doesn't believe that the Gospel has gone forth to all nations yet, even though much progress has been made. I wonder whether this will finally happen through persecution in the end.)
hated by all nations: Revelation 11:10 those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over (their dead bodies) and make merry and exchange presents, because these two prophets had been a torment to those who dwell on the earth."
The theme of food in the Olivet Discourse and elsewhere:
Matthew 24:45 "Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes."
Matthew 25:35 "I was hungry and you gave me food... as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me." (One commentary says "my brothers" refer to scattered Israel.)
John 4:34 "Jesus said to them, 'My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work. Do you not say, 'There are yet four months, then comes the harvest'? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest.'"
We thought we would be harvested at Tabernacles, but is He saying that the time to reap is only just beginning?
Hosea 2:2-23 "Plead with your mother; plead- for she is not my wife, and I am not her husband- that she put away her whoring from her face, and her adultery from between her breasts... Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly to her... and in that day... I will say to Not My People, 'You are my people'"
I do not understand the bulk of Hosea, but 6:1-2 caught my eye: "Come let us return to the Lord; for he has torn us, that he may heal us; he has struck us down, and he will bind us up. After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will raise us up, that we may live before him."
As Hillary pointed out in her post today, Joseph, a type of the church, nourished his brothers during the famine. Joseph was safe, but he was still on earth. Are we called to nourish Israel with the food of the Gospel? And let's not forget the suffering Joseph endured before he got to this place.
John 21:17-19 "He said to him the third time, 'Simon, son of John, do you love me?' Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, 'Do you love me?' and he said to him, 'Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.' Jesus said to him, 'Feed my sheep. Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go.' (This he said to show by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him, 'Follow me.'"
The Great Sign promises us that we will be taken to the throne. It tells us that we are Israel's children. It tells us which chapter of Revelation we are in now. Is the thread between all of these that we are called to be the two witnesses? In the end, the Holy Spirit will make it clear if we are called to this. Please tell me what you think of my theory. I know it's a hard one.

Hello witness1 and thanks for sharing your viewpoint. First I will say it's very thought provoking and at first read has some possiblity.
Personally though I hope for a pre-trib rapture I am not 100% against the other viewpoints. Since 9/23 I am more open to other views and believe it's possible.
One thing I do wanna say...6 months ago or at sometime prior others like me may have tried to shoot your take full of holes. There may be some that would still, but none of has a corner on the interpretation of prophecy, so I would encourage you to keep listening to Him and pointing out what you think He is saying.
Welcome to the forum, witness1! That's a very interesting theory that I'm going to have to think about and study. One thing that immediately comes to mind is that when the beast kills them, they lay in the streets of Jerusalem for three and a half days. If the 2 witnesses are a metaphor for all of us, would this really work? The beast would have to kill millions at the same time, and they would all be in the street. Also, they have the power to stop the rain and to call for plagues on the earth and breathe fire from their mouths against anyone who tries to stop them. If millions of people had that power, that might not end well. :-) I don't think this is metaphorical language. I take it to be literal. But I want to think about it more as this is a very interesting take.
Thank you both for the kind welcome. Those are some good thoughts linda. Please keep them coming. Here are a few more thoughts I've had:
Paul says we will not all sleep but will all be changed. I wonder if all of the witnesses will be put to death or only some. The Lord led me to Hebrews 11-13 Sunday after a search for "weary" in my ESV app. Don't we all feel weary!?! Then the text was on discipline as sons. Just when I wanted encouragement for my weariness, He reminded me that, "In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood." (Heb 12:4) But the role call of faith... some lived long, happy lives, and some met awful deaths described in 11:35-38. When we come to Christ, we must count the cost. We don't get to choose which category we are in. Either way, I wonder whether only some of the witnesses will die (if in fact the witnesses are all of us).
How can the enemy kill all at the same time? A really good question. I wonder whether our technology will give us away and put targets on our backs. My amazon prime account is pretty incriminating. I wonder if Satan knows the scriptures and knows that time will be up after 1260 days and can plan accordingly. I wonder if those to whom we are sent will kill us, like we killed Jesus. Everyone hates the witnesses and rejoices over their deaths... do the masses kill them under instruction of the beast? It would only take a few dying before word would spread that they are vulnerable. Killing millions at the same time could definitely be a hole in this theory though. But then again, Satan has come down in great wrath because he knows his time is short. I feel like he could figure it out.
As far as the city goes, "their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city that symbolically is called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was crucified." We have interpreted this to be Jerusalem since Jesus was killed outside Jerusalem, but "the great city" elsewhere in Revelation is translated as "Babylon". The word "symbolically" is 4153 pneumatikōs, which means "spiritually". So the great city Babylon that spiritually is Sodom and Egypt. I find it interesting that the eclipses are over America. All of the "Salems" in the path. Crossing at Little Egypt. America is certainly a Babylon type. A search on wikipedia shows that the majority of Jews outside of Israel live in America. If God's remnant is to be nourished, there are a lot of them here. Could the dead bodies of the witnesses lie in America? In the street of "the great city that symbolically is called Sodom and Egypt"?
I am not sure how to fit the "where their Lord was crucified" clause into this theory. Perhaps that means this theory doesn't fit, or it could be that I need to do some research into the Greek and see what is being modified. One thing to note: my husband pointed out that China is just as spiritually corrupt as America and is even more vocal about it than we are. Maybe the great city that spiritually is Sodom and Egypt is any country that does not recognize Christ, which would be all of them. Or maybe I'm trying to force something to fit that doesn't.
As far as everyone having this power, I feel like we would be under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and would act as "one body". The church has needed unity for a long time. Perhaps the Lord will knit us together and make us radiant, pure and spotless at His coming.
A large part of me still hopes for a pre-trib rapture as well. And then I am reminded of Paul: "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account. Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith..." (Phil 1:21-25)
You have given an interesting theory about the two witnesses; but I am not sure it pans out.....
Here is how I see it...
In chapter 9, the fifth trumpet is blown.... Part of the terror of this trumpet is the stinging locus - they can sting everyone who does not have the seal of God on their forehead. Which refers back to the 144k from the tribes of Isreal. So unless you are suggesting that those who are sealed on the forehead are greater in number then 144k .... Then you have situation were some of God's people will be stung as well.
Thus ends the first woe and then trumpet six sounds.....
Chapter 10 is kind of a pause with the seven thunders and the scroll that is bitter and sweet.
Chapter 11 is when the two witnesses come on the scene and they are described as the second woe..... So the second woe will last at least 42 months during the time of their preaching. They die in the streets where Christ was crucified - so that tells us they are either in or just outside of Jerusalem and will lay there three days unburied.
With your theory, that the witnesses are all Christians - even if you suggest that is only a million people ... There is no room in the streets for that many people.
After they are raised again on the third day and taken to heaven ... The great earthquake happens that kills 7k and destroys 10th of the city ... then the second woe is said to be concluded ....
Next the seventh trumpet is sounded......
Seems to me if your theory would be valid, you would have to account for all those people being located in one city - since only one city is partially destroyed after their rapture.
Welcome to the board Witness1, and very interesting dreams all!
"For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures."
I am revisiting this thread in light of further understanding and possibilities.
everyknee Your dream was splendid to read about and with some further learning on my part, it may be deeper than what many including yourself may realize. I would encourage you to read @silentknight Kingdom of God thread found in the New Jerusalem folder. Really read all of his threads, but that may take some time
But this part of your story particularly caught my attention:
"One of my sisters has said that she has greatly diverged from the Christian path that our parents raised us on."
There are key things happening that Are very interesting. I have been being lead back to this thread over the last couple of days.
witness1 I am still going through your dream as well. It is fascinating as well. Love all the details. So much going on there.
More on this later though when I am able to use my PC and type better instead of my phone.
For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, WHO IS THE SAVIOR OF ALL MEN, especially of believers.
I have been mulling over this for over a month now and trying to process it. No idea what it meant at first. I am getting some pretty good ideas though. I had it at the beginning of September. Just as intense as my first dream (It is in another thread, I will try to find it and link it)
I never claim these are prophetic nor am I receiving anything divine because I honestly do not know. This and my first dream however have been the most intense dreams I have ever had in my life. If they are divine or something from our Lord, than thank you Jesus for allowing me to possibly see or feel something, even if I do not understand it.
From what I can remember I am standing on a city street with a lot of people, no one that I know. I hear the screaming and wailing of a multitude of people and look to my right to see what remains of a city that is now in ruins and appeared to have been bombed. This portion of the city is walled off and no one is allowed in. I ask what is going on and who is in there and are they ok? Someone responds that it is a lot of Jewish people in there, but they WILL be ok.
I am terrified, and others start to say he is coming and to run! I ask who? They say the evil one, the one who did this. I start running and grab someone’s hand for some reason. It is a young girl and she says she is a virgin. Even in my dream I thought ok? For some reason I had to protect her, especially from him. But I continued to run. I ran so fast with her that everything around me turned to a blur and had no idea where I was going. I just had to get away. Soon I realized I was running down a dirt road and the turned into a field in the woods. I see a small and very old cottage type house with a straw/natural roof. I run inside because I know he is not far behind. We run to the top floor and I shut a door and lock it that was on the top floor. In the middle of the top story/attic there is a wood beam and post in the shape of a cross. It is old and very heavy looking. I notice it right away. It is the only thing supporting the straw type roof. There is a lamp stand lighting the room. It had multiple candles on it. I honestly do not remember how many. For some reason I think that I have to hid the virgin from Him. He really wants her the most. I do not know how I know this, I just do.
Somehow, the evil one gets in. He just appears towards the front of the room, on the other side of the cross. It is Satan. He is dressed in an all-black suit. He is very handsome but ugly at the same time. Hair cut sharp and slicked back. His suite is crisp and well-tailored. But he is also odd, twitchy and his movements are chaotic. I am filled with dread inside, but at the same time I yell that he cannot go past that cross! He becomes agitated and pulls out a black candle that is already lit, and tries to light the cross on fire, it will not light. He throws the candle to the ground and pulls a gun out pointing it at my face. He fires six rounds at my face. The gun fires, but no bullets come out. A look of utter dread and defeat comes over his face. He flees away even more chaotic then ever. Spastic and almost like he is barely able to control himself. His head twisting and he is groaning and convulsing. He jumps out a windows and runs away. I look at the girl behind me and for the first time, I notice she is pregnant and sitting on a bed that was in the back of the room, breathing hard as if in labor holding her stomach. She is safe though where she is and he cannot get her. I have a strong urge to now pursue him and I do, but cannot find him. I am back out in the field looking for him and turn around to go back to the house. The field is misty and foggy and overcast. I am not longer afraid of him. I know he cannot touch or harm me. I just want to catch him. That is when I wake up.
I will comment in a reply with what I think. Making dinner now.
Now, when the dragon realized that he had been cast down to the earth, he set off in pursuit of the woman who had given birth to the man-child. But the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman so that she could fly and escape into the wilderness to her own special place, where she was nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, away from the face of the dragon.
