Yes, exactly. Jesus gave us the example--He is the ultimate servant-leader. We will not only be reigning, we will be serving, both our Lord, and the people we are made responsible of.
I can hardly wait!

One thing to remember is that Satan will be locked up for the millennium. So whatever technology is available, and in use, he won't be allowed to use it for deception. I tend to believe that after the catastrophic events of the great tribulation, that the world will be in rough shape, and infrastructure and technology will need to be rebuilt. Scripture does seem to indicate that armageddon is fought with horses rather than tanks and planes, so this could mean that modern weapons don't work for some reason, or it could mean that the resources needed to fuel and arm them are not available for some reason. In any case there will be people who enter into the millennium with the knowledge to rebuild and restore technology to the earth, but it will take a long time. Like others have noted, Jesus will reign and rule over the nations, so whatever they do to rebuild will be guided and ruled over by Him.
I wonder if the rebuilding of it all has any implications corresponding to Satan's release at the end of the thousand years? He will gather the nations, those descended from Gog and Magog to make war on the saints, but God will make a swift end of them. Would rebuilt infrastructure and technology be a factor in Satan's ability to deceive the nations again? Just wondering.

Would rebuilt infrastructure and technology be a factor in Satan's ability to deceive the nations again? Just wondering. That does make some sense as it is likely that an EMP or something similar (from the sun or other celestial body) will certainly destroy much of the electronic infrastructure. Bu that wont happen until the latter half of the Trib. Even though Satan will be bound, human (sin) nature will still be manifest in those who remain and reproduce. I do realize that the Lord will govern and we will serve Him as He desires, but humanity will need certain things (like running water, toilets, etc.) as noted in a prior post (KJS I think?). So with the sin nature still in tact throughout the world, there will be the 'urge' to sin and rebel. How its handled shouldnt be any different than it is today. Those who remain will have choices just we do today only they will actually know who the true King of the world is. That in and of itself should be enough to sway people to worship Him alone, yet we know that many won't even after 1000 yrs of His rule.

The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in agony 11 and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done.
This verse describes to me, that power will be completely out in the world. These judgments will destroy all of the power lines and most of the buildings. Another thing to note is that nukes will be launched which will destroy a good amount of the remaining civilians. They only reason they would be gnawing their tongues in agony, would be because of radiation or some other form of fallout. They are going to have to find a way to get food and water, during the last half of the tribulation, I would compare it to any zombie movie where all of the power is out and they stockpile bullets, guns, and swords.

Agree, once the seals / bowls / trumpets finishes ---- there will NOT be too much left of the infrastructure and technologies -- that we in most of the world take for granted today...... Just wondering what will be available and how soon will it be available? FOR ME .... having a flush-able toilets -- is a pretty big one (IF you ever had to do without one -- you may know what I mean)

Kind of like what a quarter or a third of the world lives like today!

I wonder if that is part of why the world will be celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles during the Millennial Reign--temporary shelters being set up just like during the Exodus. Perhaps during the first many years of Jesus' reign there will be so much clean-up and reconstruction work necessary for the entire world that life for some time will be very much like the days of Israel's wilderness wanderings.

Me too, kjs... One of my biggest complaints about family camping trips... I love the forest experience--beauty, fresh air, birds and other sweet creatures, campfire cooking and stories, stars in full view at night--but I'm about as afraid of the icky outhouses (or worse yet, not even having those) as I am of bigfoots lurking about!

I don't see chapter and verse for it, but I have a feeling that our glorified bodies will not have the same drawbacks as our current ones, including in this regard. Not wanting to be guilty of giving out TMI here. Having said that, I propose a new term to use on our board, instead of TMI (Too Much Information), we might be well served to sometimes use the term TMS. Too Much Speculation. LOL

An additional thought to this... Perhaps even after all the reconstruction has been accomplished, celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles will continue as a reminder over the 1000 years as to what the world was like before Jesus returned to set up His kingdom. People's memories may need an occasional reminder, and it would also serve to teach new generations who never experienced the world before Christ's reign the story of the King's arrival to set things right.
