Here is Proverbs 8-10.
Chapter 8 is a really neat passage...at least I think so. It's a personification of Wisdom. And as you read through chapter 8 (specifically 17-31) who does this sound like?
"I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me" (17)
"When He established the heavens, I was there" (27)
"When He marked out the foundations of the earth, then I was beside Him, like a master workman, and I was daily His delight, rejoicing before Him always, rejoicing in His inhabited world and delighting in the children of man." (29b-31)
8:25 "Whoever finds me finds life and obtains favor from the LORD." 1 John 5:12 "Whoever has the Son has life."
He doesn't spend a long time on chapter 9, but one main idea is that Wisdom and Foolishness are both calling out to people. We choose. One leads to life and one leads to death.

Meant to post this the other day. I have gotten distracted watching a series on Jesus in the OT. So, here is Proverbs 11...
"Those of crooked heart are an abomination to the LORD, but those of blameless ways are His delight." 11:20
I like that Pastor JD explained blameless. It's not that we must be sinless, but that we are walking uprightly, walking in righteousness, so that we cannot be rightly accused of things. Although we may be wrongly accused.
I don't really have much comment on this one. There is a lot of good stuff in there though.

I love how passionate Pastor JD can get. 12:21 I like his translation (NKJV?)or this verse. No grave trouble will overtake the righteous.
I may have more thoughts later.

Here's the next one in order (chapt 14) I haven't finished it yet but should this evening. If anyone else is following along, I hope it's been a blessing. I've started reading a Proverb a day like many suggest. I've decided also to do each month a different version of the Bible, rotating through five or six different translations. I thought that might be interesting. With technology it's so easy to do; you don't have to have a bunch of physical Bibles.

Proverbs 15
I like verse 29 The LORD is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous.
He is our Father and loves us very much.
(Not sure he's correct on "hi" and "hello")
