On the shout box this popped up
Servant: boraddict: I am really curious how our Lord will use the Arc in the future in the Millennium and beyond. I wonder, do we still celebrate our birthdays? Since we live forever, does that mean I will sing Happy Birthday on your 7,476,197,579,613,130 birthday?I thought this was an interesting topic and decided to weigh in on my opinion ........ anyone else wish to join in? ??
In MY OPINION (and no hard facts to back it up)
Famous verse here... 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
MY TAKE -- eternal life is NOT living forever -- cause we are outside of TIME.....
I believe time will cease to exist......
So therefore we will not celebrate birthday 7,476,197,579,613,130............

But KJ werent you born of the Spirit on a certain day? John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

I think its fair that I should clear it up because I was the one who said it.
Over the years, I thought alot about the future in New Earth, New Heaven and what it would be like. Yes, after the Rapture, all of us will never grow old or die. Like our Lord, He never get old but He is still involved with our 'time' on Earth. Lord is timeless but still interact with us because we as humans are not timeless. We will be like Christ, see how He interact with Paul, Peter, and others after He ascended to Heaven? He is timeless but still interact with them. We will be the same with humans in future.
In the future, it is very likely that there will be humans on Earth and we will be ministering to those on Earth. Like one of Gary's article, he said some of us will be kings and queens. Some of us will be priests, some of us in other roles. Like a body of Christ has different function, like hands for manipulating things, feet for walking, etc. I thought it makes sense because all of us are unique skills and interests. I have faith that the Lord will find something to suit our skills etc.
The humans will have time, yes, they won't grow old and die but they need time in a sense for keeping up with work, school, church, vacation, farming, fishing, sleep, waking, weddings, etc.
I might get in trouble for saying this but there is a very good possibility that humans might live on other planets after Earth is full of people. I wouldn't be surprised if there are some of us will be leaders on those planets or even a solar system somewhere. I mean, since humans don't die, Earth will be running out of space in no time! And the universe is vast enough to house all of us.
None of us will be the leader of Earth, that belongs to Lord Jesus Christ for obvious reasons.

BUT even your Spiritual birth is taking place in this temporal place --- at some point during your earthly journey....
Your entire earthly journey (all of us) is part of the same "time" where we have PAST, Present, Future ...........
Where we are going is some place (if I understand correctly) does not have a PAST or FUTURE --- ONLY a Present -- or better yet -- ONLY A NOW.....
THEN AGAIN
I ain't there YET -- so I do not really know being without TIME really is .....
(but with this earth being destroyed in FIRE -- and new Earth coming down -- I suspect it will all be outside of time.........

"I might get in trouble for saying this but there is a very good possibility that humans might live on other planets after Earth is full of people." He created a very, very big universe with trillions of planets. And we'll be able to fly like angels, so I don't see why not. As a matter of fact, there are several Scriptures that kind of hint at this: From a scientific perspective we know that the universe is expanding in perpetuity. I wager that's because God created the heavens to hold an ever-growing Kingdom. And He apparently "apportioned" or divvied up the stars for nations. I think Dr. David Jeremiah talks about this.

Phew, thanks Gary! It all started when I think about this 1 Corinthians 2:9 However, as it is written: "What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived" -- the things God has prepared for those who love him-- That made me thinking about the future and what He will do. I spend years thinking about it and I still come up short on what God would do for all of us for the future. Even amazing, God isn't doing it as a gift for us because we got an A+ in school or something but the fact is that He is doing it out of love. That makes me humble.

Even amazing, God isn't doing it as a gift for us because we got an A+ in school or something but the fact is that He is doing it out of love. That makes me humble. That is one of my favorite verses of the Bible. It makes me start smiling, because I know my own imagination it is nothing compared to God's imagination and I can imagine some wonderful weird wild stuff . Plus think about all the stuff humans have come up with including the stuff in james cameron's blue avatar movie, the multiverse in the comic book world among other things. Personally when I was little I always imagined playing in dinosaurs in heaven. Wow I excited now. I am glad I found this post, while drinking my morning cup of joe. As far as the original post about time goes, I alway theorized that since we will have glorified bodies we would exist inside and outside of time for eternity, traveling between the two. I just think time won't matter to us. What I mean is who cares if it takes 100 years to travel between planets if we are living forever. I also imagine all of the bride returning to New Jerusalem each year to celebrate the festivals via teleportation if we are indeed off exploring God's universe. Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. (This verse doesn't specifically mention time although it could be part of former things). Was time a product of sin? No because it existed be for the original sin occured. I don't think time is good or bad depending on how it is used. These are just my opinions, if you had them and 2 pennies u'd have 2 cent which wouldn't buy u anything in today's world.

Its incredible, all the art in the world pale to the Lord's creation, like how Jesus said at the temple when the Pharisee demanded that He silenced the Disciples, He said the rocks would speak out. Amazing! He made the donkey talk to Balaam?! Wow! I wouldn't be surprised that the Lord have flowers that talks! He can do anything!
People sometimes come up to me and say its impossible because of physic laws. I smiled because the Lord made the laws, He knows how to do things. Like I read about a planet made of diamond? Or glass rains that goes sideways? A crown on Jupiter? Its mind boggling.
Like the comic says Superman is so strong, so fast etc but he has weakness like green kryptonite. Limits of power like he can't travel from one end of the universe to the other in 1 second. The Lord says we will. We be stronger than Superman, faster, no weakness, etc. Oh my!
And the movies, they tried to stretch the imagination but the Lord easily go beyond that. No problem, I wouldn't be surprised that in the future, all knees in the universe shall bow down at the same time to the Lord? And the angels serving us? What the? And the Bible said we will judge angels? Huh? Wow! And to play with dinosaurs? Sure! A child actually will lead a lion and a calf together! Oh boy. We can go to the Sun and play catch with fireball on its surface. Or explore the core of Neptune?
When people tell me that they have to rush all over the world to experience everything before they die. I said go for it if you feel strongly, for myself, I am not interested because the reality in New Heaven and New Earth is going to be spectacular.
When I think and contemplate on all of this, I feel tiny, more than a dust mote in the universe. Still, the Lord cares about you and me. Wow. . . just wow.
It will an eternity of never ending awe.
