The King James, and other modern translations, have interpreted the word Apostasy, from the Greek Apostasia, commonly rendered as "Falling Away". The literal translation of this word is Divorce, or rebellion. This has always puzzled me, as to why the Church, would all of a sudden, want a divorce from her soon coming Groom? I know the Bible does not contradict itself, so I researched this further. In the earlier Tyndale 1526 translations from the Greek, use the root word Aphistemi, Meaning to go away, DEPART, to remove. This root is used 15 times as Depart, and only three times as falling away. This word usually refers to "one person departing from another person or place". Being so, the best rendering of this word in context is DEPART. So instead of saying the Church will fall away, before the Tribulation, the Correct wording is this: The Church will DEPART from this planet, as in "Rapture", before the Antichrist is revealed. This puts the school of thought, of a Pre-Tribulation Rapture, in solid context. I cover this subject in further detail, in tomorrow's blog post @ covenantchronicles.wordpress.com/blog/. We are currently in Part 5 of an 8 part series, on the subject of the Rapture.

ranger007 - this topic was discussed in a previous thread here. If you would like we can combine your thoughts and research into that thread to bring that back to the top of the page here and generate some additional dialogue. Or perhaps you would like to review that thread and keep this one as is.

Thanks, but let us leave mine as an independent post. Even though I was a big fan of our Brother, Scottie Clark, he has gotten into error. I got my information from a different, earlier source, that I came across over 30 years ago. I give proper credit in my blog post out tomorrow. Yes, I agree. Contextually, I think "departure" makes the most sense. There is nothing in the context that would lead one to believe he is even considering problems inside the church here. These things were happening, and are discussed elsewhere, and by other writers, but not here. This in itself is a big red flag...apostasy in the church was an issue in Paul's day, so "falling away" has been occurring for 2000 years. Hardly a sign we could use as an accurate indicator of the season we are in.
Our "departure" will, however, be a clear sign to those left behind.

ranger007 , I just read thru the series. Good stuff and greatly needed as I encounter so many today that believe in Christ, but have little or no knowledge of our blessed hope, the rapture! Also, I do hope you'll take some time to read some of the threads here. Many, many very deep dives into the rapture and related biblical truths are contained within. Those who participate here have spent the last few years dissecting the scriptural evidence for the rapture from almost every conceivable angle. There is some very rich insight to be gleaned...even for an old guy like me who has been immersed in the scriptures and watching for Jesus to come for us for 40 years. It's also a great ministry opportunity as we have the chance to teach others about this wonderful and soon coming event, preach the gospel, and encourage each other as we see the day approaching. This site has been a real blessing to me since joining in 2017. GBY.

You can use the link option to direct people to other parts of this site (namely other threads or posts) where you have the direct link to your site. The link button is in the bar of buttons at the top of your post entry window. It is the button to the furthest left of the last cluster of buttons (on the right). I recommend cross-linking to your thread like this: cross-link in your posts in other threads, if you have something relevant in your thread.
