So i come into work on this chilly (old man winter needs to die) Monday morning and get surrounded by sad and/or angry faces. Some people were talking about the horrible chemical attacks in Syria, others were discussing the us border and some were discussing upcoming trade wars. I feel like a lot of people in this world and in the church are worried about everything seemingly coming apart at the scenes. This is a cruel strategy of the enemy. satan wants us to feel depressed, worried, and defeated, because how can we be a good light to the world if our light is dimmed. We have to fight against this despair, this doubt, and this sense of fear. We as believers must NOT ever give up or give into despair.
Even when it seems like there is an army of demons trying to screw with our lives remember OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST HAS ALREADY WON THE FIGHT. He shed His POWERFUL blood for us, because He loved us before we loved Him. He loves us even though we are unworthy and undeserving. I should know He scraped the bottom of the barrel to find me.
God has shown me some things over the last couple of days. He has showed me that He is my Hope. God knows everything and He will provide for us, though not usually in the way we expect. God has shown me that another way to beat the fear and the depression is to be grateful for all the things God has provided us. We can't be grateful and be sad or worried at the same time. If our day is going crappy it might be a good idea to get alone, put some worship music on and to Thank God by listing a dozen or so things we are grateful for. If we can't name a dozen or so things God has given/done for us over the years we aren't really trying. I am grateful for my family, my friends, the unsealed family, grace, love, kindness, humility, art, comedy, birds, a roof over my head, a gym where i can work out. I am grateful I am still alive and able to help The Lord reach people (He obviously doesn't need me.)
Anyways I hope this post/thread helps someone.
