...or were told not to like.
This one is sung from the perspective of Christ:
This one is one of the most heartfelt outpourings of biblical salvation. From the Wiki:
"Gabriel's lyrics were inspired by an African tradition of ambiguity in song between romantic love and love of God."
Reading the lyrics, I don't get anything other than it's pure worship
(by the way, Peter Gabriel considered to so personal he initially objected to it being used in the movie Say Anything. I hope I can still meet him):
This one I've heard derided on Christian radio, where a man will boast in himself that "we think Jesus is more than 'just alright'". Nevermind it uses old hippie slang and a literary device called a litotes. From the Wiki:
"The song's title makes use of the American slang term "all-right", which during the 1960s was used to describe something that was considered 'cool' or very good. "
This song is the Lord's Prayer in (loose) Swahili, featured in the video game Civilization IV, and thus far is the only one from a video game to receive a Grammy (checkmate atheists...checkmate).
Got any others?

Love I get so lost, sometimes
Days pass and this emptiness fills my heart
When I want to run away
I drive off in my car
But whichever way I go
I come back to the place you are
All my instincts, they return
And the grand facade, so soon will burn
Without a noise, without my pride
I reach out from the inside
In your eyes
The light the heat
In your eyes
I am complete
In your eyes
I see the doorway to a thousand churches
In your eyes
The resolution of all the fruitless searches
In your eyes
I see the light and the heat
In your eyes
Oh, I want to be that complete
I want to touch the light
The heat I see in your eyes
Love, I don't like to see so much pain
So much wasted and this moment keeps slipping away
I get so tired of working so hard for our survival
I look to the time with you to keep me awake and alive
And all my instincts, they return
And the grand facade, so soon will burn
Without a noise, without my pride
I reach out from the inside
In your eyes
The light the heat
In your eyes
I am complete
In your eyes
