I wanted to start an additional thread that dealt with people's thoughts on the antichrist. Is anyone else compelled by watching this video? There is Something Very Strange about This Man! I've heard so many theories and so many possibilities as to who or what the antichrist is. I've been told the antichrist is a system itself and/or a literal person. Can anyone provide some solid scripture that illustrates what we can expect of this guy? Does he have to be Jewish? Do you think Jared Kushner isn't persuasive enough to be the antichrist? I realize odds are we will be caught up before it becomes absolutely obvious who this guy is, but it is so bizarre to me that he is just out there right now, preparing for whatever he is meant to accomplish... There are times when I feel inspired and faithful to God and in awe of His sovereignty and ultimate victory in the end. But often times, in these last days, I feel dejected at my seeming powerlessness to wake up the people around me to the reality of God and the closeness of His coming. Can anyone else relate? Who do y'all think are strong candidates for the antichrist? And how do you think he is going to persuade the masses to believe he is god?

Welcome to the boards @pillarofsaultgoodman. I've never really done an in depth study as to who the AC may be but Daniel tells us....
Dan 9: 26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
I personally believe that who ever the AC is, he himself does not realize who he is. I have no scripture basis for this just my personal thought.

I keep hearing people mention Jared Kushner as an antichrist candidate and just don't see it. This seems to come from a building he owns with 666 in the address. That just seems a little bit flimsy to me. And I keep thinking about this verse in Daniel 11:37
He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself above them all.
To me, that doesn't sound like a man who is married and has a bunch of children. But I could be totally wrong. I have a feeling that we're all going to be wrong when it comes to the AC. He could be someone we would never expect or someone we haven't really heard of or maybe someone like Erdogan. The Old Testament sometimes refers to him as "The Assyrian," which makes me suspect he comes from a Middle East country. An American Jew just seems a bit out there.

Just as an FYI -- this particular passage "He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself above them all." I believe is a translation error. I heard many say it means he is a homosexual or asexual .... But when you go back to the original text -- one sees he simply believes there is no God -- that he is in charge of himself and that he will eventually be aGod himself. From Benson Commentary Nor the desire of women — This, as some think, means, nor the god that is loved and adored by women; and, taking the clause in connection with the context, this seems the most natural sense of it; for the whole verse speaks of the impiety, or irreligion, of Antiothus, that he had no regard to any god whatever. What god this was that was the desire of women, cannot be certainly said; it is probable it was the moon, (the queen of heaven, as they used to call her,)

I don't believe it's anyone we've seen yet. I do believe it's going to be someone who is a hybrid of sorts. Someone is the complete opposite of what Jesus looked like, he'll almost look perfect in every worldly way. My guess is someone created in a lab, a soulless one.

And even if that is correct, there is also the other part of the verse - that he has no regard for any god or God. In relation to Kushner, he is an observant Jew and his wife converted to Judaism when they got married. Nothing about him screams antichrist to me except his building at 666 Whatever street. But as I said, I could be totally wrong and the person I would least expect could turn out to be him.

He is represented by the number 666. Jesus Christ could be represented by 777. Does 666 imply some kind of "superman?"

Kushner is certainly intriguing in his own right, but the fact he has ties to Trump will turn off many folks. I don't see the masses lining up to worship and follow Kushner since the Trump name is such a lightning rod and divisive in America right now . In my mind the antichrist wouldn't have such steep hill to climb as far as winning over half the people in the most influential nation in the world.
Just my opinion though...I could be way off here.

LA Marzulli does some very interesting research and Bible based studies on this topic if you are intrested.

I believe there are at least two characters who get confusingly and interchangeably referred to by some as "the antichrist." And nowhere in the Bible is the term "the anticrhist" used. The only place this word is found at all is in I John, and I encourage you to see what it says there.
The two beasts of Revelation 13 are in question when it comes to the one we like to call "the antichrist."But which one is it? I was always taught that the beast out of the sea was the antichrist, and the beast out of the earth was the False Prophet. But for all the other passages-- Thessalonians, Timothy, Daniel, Zechariah, Revelation, and others, that refer to one or the other of these in various terms, how exactly do we know? So I caution you to remember that there is not simply one man in the end times who is all these things.
Also, and this is huge: I don't think he will act like the true "man of perdition" until after satan enters into him. I believe his entire demeanor will change at that time. Someone who is mild mannered, charming, etc. right now could change overnight into a reprehensible and morbidly cruel beast.

Too many conflicting AC theories. I personally suspect it may be someone whose name no one knows yet. It seems most biblically sound to understand that he's not revealed until we're gone. Some of the opposing understandings, he's Jewish, he's Muslim, he's Middle Eastern, he's European, he's Nephilim as alluded to, he's a fallen angel come to earth, he's a resurrected dictator from the past who met a violent death. I got into the end time stuff about 2 years ago and many were certain he was Obama. Now Kushner, Marcon and Erdogan are considered strong candidates. Trump's name has even been thrown into the hat. In the past people wondered if it was Hitler, JFK (who some expected to be resurrected after his assasination), various Popes, Ronald Reagan (due to his full name being Ronald Wilson Reagan, a 666 of sorts) and others. As we're not going to be here when he's revealed I personally think chucking names around is a waste of time and he's probably currently a "nobody" if he is indeed a regular human being. I do have a strong suspicion of the identity of his sidekick, the false prophet however and that is Pope Francis as he seems to be leading the world to the start of a one world religion by trying to reverse the reformation and unite the church and also claiming that Muslims worship the same god as Christians.

I was reading about some sort of big political party planned for Halloween night as part of the "Obama Foudnation". Anyone know anything about that? I know he's on a lot of people's lists as a possible AC candidate.

Do you or anyone have some videos/evidence that confirm this about the Pope? I have mentioned this to a few people in passing and I don't have the references to prove how he is leading people astray
